Matt Smith is a brilliant doctor who rivals Tennant massively. His energy and emotions onscreen prove that not only is he a great actor, but he's one of the best doctors in recent times. He's my favourite anyway.

I'm surprised at how quickly I've taken to Matt. I was pretty sure I was going to be disapointed with the 5th series, but Matt's a brilliant Doctor, and it's obvious he really loves the charecter. Best we could have gotten to take over after David, I think.

I was very unsure about Matt taking over, mostly because I thought David was incredible and couldnt see a better doctor, but even though I still love Davids doctor, Matt has taken over so well and when I watch I dont compare or anything, he's brilliant!

The sounds for the sonic are added by a pre-made sound program and a synthesiser. The prop has lights but all sound are added. For instance when the Doctor whips the sonic out to check readings, that sound is made by flipping open a grip wrench and clanging a small peice of aluminium against the wrench.

Each of the three newest Doctor's were brilliant in their own way, each one of them completely different from the last, each of them Fantastic in their own way. I wouldn't say any of them are better than the last, because each of them grew on me, when I first saw season two, I was so used to Chris that I didn't enjoy David as much, and the same thing happened for Matt. But now I like all of them because they are all brilliantly portrayed.

The writer (or producer, don't remember) specifically stated in an interview he used the original original Tardis cause he liked the look. I personally think they should have kept the original colouring but added the sticker...

I loved David, as did nearly everyone, and, considering Matt had to follow David, I think Matt has grown on me. I find his Doctor a little more savant in mannerisms and a little less brooding in demeanor, but I'm starting to like him very much nonetheless. Kudos to his bravado in assuming a role that Mr Tennant was divined to play as well a one we all knew he could not take on forever. So, after some deliberation and a season and a half of Mr Smith, I finally bid him a late, but warm welcome
