The Cybermen are probably magnetic (unless they are stainless steel, but don't appear to be), but the Dalek casings are made of Polycarbide (nicknamed Dalekanium) and just painted a metallic bronze and brass, but may have some metal components inside.

So that means, that the whole that they were sucked into, must have been even more powerful than the magna clamps. Otherwise they would have gotten stuck on the magna clamps, instead of beeing pulled into the whole. That would have been a weird picture, now that I think about it :D

@@nicologikreacts The manga clamps could lift 2 tons, so probably 2 or 3 Daleks, but they weren't close enough and going too fast. The clamps were just to help the Doctor and Rose hold on.

This episode was really good. The second part was even better :D I can´t wait for all of you, to see it. And strangely it was really easy to upload. I expected another "discussion" with KZbin about the second part, but it only took 3 times until they accepted it. And there is if even more music and stuff in it, than in the first part. I don´t know, it just doesn´t make any sense. :D

The surprise when Mickey reappears! I did say right at the beginning not to be too hard on Mickey, he starts our quite pathetic but does a lot of growing and now we see the result. It's a good job you brought the tissues. This 2-parter makes me cry like a baby.

Lol The thing you thought might be a British series was indeed shot on the set of "EastEnders", a long-running soap opera; the actress was Barbara Windsor, a well-known face in British comedy films in the 1960s and 1970s, who in 2006 was playing a main character in the soap. As for Torchwood's attitude towards the Doctor, it isn't that he's someone they like; to them he's just an asset they can use, no different to a crashed spaceship or any other alien object. This is a great episode. RTD does a great job of building us up to expect a big confrontation between the Doctor and the Cybermen... and then the Daleks show up as well! One of the show's best-ever cliffhangers, in my opinion.

I do not know it, but it´s so interesting, that Dr. Who uses so much real life stuff for the show. I really like it, although I do not get most of them :D About Torchwood, well I understand that they needed him. I was just so confused, because I always thought, that their main goal, was to kill the doctor. But it all makes sense now :) I really liked that episode, too :) And yes, the cliffhanger was great. I don´t know if it was the best one. I have to think about that, but in general I always liked the cliffhangers of Dr. Who. They really do know, when to cut the episode, to leave you as curious as you can get :D

@@nicologikreacts Lol! We definitely got good value from you in this video! Other reactors haven't tended to pick up on what the Beast said about Rose as much as you did. Some commented on it, but you have mentioned it several times. We shall have to see whether it was just a red herring, although I reckon they'll finish Series 2 with Rose waking up and realising it was all just a dream. 😉 The classic era had regular cliffhangers, so it was great to have them back for the revived series. They can be a mixed bag, though: sometimes one episode ends in a great way, but then the resolution in the next episode can be a let down. I guess that's one reason why only some of the modern episodes have cliffhangers, so that the writers don't keep on creating unsatisfactory cliffhangers and/or resolutions.

Congrats on calling the Daleks! I don't think the Doctor chose Jackie over Rose to keep Rose safe: Jackie on her own in the Tardis would be useless, but Rose on her own in the Tardis would still be a useful ally "Everyone at Torchwood has psychic ability" - yet they somehow completely fail to notice that three of their colleagues are suddenly wearing a second earpieces.

Great reaction Nic Hope you are well ! Your not alone with the copywrite struggles. Another new Who reactor on the 1st season only has had to stop uploading to KZbin for 3 month in order to get ahead. That way they can ignore the KZbin claims and then send the copywrite claims off to the studio BBC of course. That way they will find it easier to dispute and correct claims. Its a real shame when you are not breaking fair use policy and doing nothing but promote the show and fandom. Guess I will have to get my tissues ready for next week too. Well predicted the Darleks have a habit of showing up when you most expect them haha.

Thank you Brian, I do indeed feel better. I was sick for a few days, but I got better pretty fast :) Yes I have heard of that other KZbinr. I really hope, that she will have less problems in the future and will be able to continue reacting to Dr. Who. But with series 2 in general I had less problems. The only episode was the first part of the finale. The second part is uploaded already, and it only took 3 times, although it was even longer than the first part. I don´t know, it´s so random sometimes. About next week....YES, get your tissues ready! Definately :D I hope you´ll enjoy the second part of the finaly :)

On the scene when they address the getting into the TARDIS and when Yvonne says "If it's alien it's Ours" and the Doctor replies to her "You'll never get inside it" what he means by that is The TARDIS is indestructible and no one unless the door is left unlock can get inside the TARDIS. The inside of the TARDIS was always a safe haven. In the first episode "Rose" The Ninth Doctor mentions "Not even Genghis Khan could get through them doors believe me they tried".

This episode was a big deal for fans (including the showrunner russel t Davies who is a massive fan boy!!) We never saw interaction between 2 different monsters before (we were close 1 or 2 times in classic who) and so this was EPIC !!

First off, your determination to upload a video is actually insane and thats a good thing. Second, I.. think this story is.. slow to get through? What I mean is while i like the second part which ill dive more in depth when your reaction to that comes out, i find the first part to drag the story down a bit. Even then i find the 2nd part not amazing, good but not amazing.

Yes 42 times. :D It was a lot of work and frustration. But the thought to be able to show you this great episode, kept me motivated. And it was all worth it in the end. :) It´s kinda funny though, that the second part of the finaly took only 3 times to upload. Although it was longer than the first part. I do have the feeling the Copyright strikes are totally random sometimes.

great reaction as always and I hope excepting the beginning bit that this episode lived up to a series final part 1 for you Micky coming back was the only main good thing about this episode if Micky had to chose between Rose and Paris he'd choose Rose every time. four things 3 bad 1 good 1. the beginning (bad) I don't like the beginning. for knowing the bit about rose's death the viewer can no longer think about what it is happening wile the episode is going because of the worry with rose I am basing this off my own experience when I watched this episode for the first time others may think differently I don't know. 2. the interesting conversation between rose and Jacki about rose's future (bad-ish) I side with Jacki rose is one of the most amazing female characters to ever be created in tv history (for me) sometimes I forget that the actor billie piper is not rose because they are so linked together (for me that is). rose is the viewers prospective (in my opinion) the viewer sees the show through rose's eyes and point of view so it is easy to just agree with the character and take Rose's side but for me in this matter I agree with Jacki. rose's special Quality that makes her so likeable to the viewers (and again my opinion) is that she's a regular human being, with human emotions, opinions, ideas and thoughts, she's already changed so much and for me Rose could quite easily become a former version of herself thought change series 1 episode 6 dalek she stoped the doctor for killing the Dalek because she knew if the doctor killed the Dalek the doctor would become the Dalek series 2 episode 9 the satan pit she helps to destroy toby because it looks like he's gonna kill her now I know it's out of fear and toby is already dead because the devil killed him but it's still not ok for rose to become the accomplice. for me I feel like the rose that the viewer meets is the rose they are gonna stick with (my opinion yet again) for me I saw series 2 rose first so when I went back and watched series1rose I was struck by how different. I prefer series 2 rose because I saw that version first but I do see that series 1 rose is much more human and series 2 rose is much more alien which I am not saying is a bad thing its just for rose she needs keep human parts of herself (like her mind) otherwise she won't be human anymore. obviously I've had a lot of time to think about this because I've watched this episode over and over again. 3. the doctor is taking turn for the (good) I also feel like the doctor himself is becoming more human, he care not just for Rose but for the hole of humanity and try's too the best of his abilitys to save them as much as is possible. series 1 episode 2 the end of the world the doctor was not tapping into any implications that it might be hard for Rose to watch her home paint get burnt to a crisp and yet he still chose that event and place for their first date. series 2 episode 6 the age of steel the doctor helps destroy the alien monsters to help the human beings and even tho the doctor isn't a monster he isn't a human and yet he went against the aliens to save the humans. 4. why the pain (bad very bad) you know it's a series final when the Cybermen start killing the extras who are there for nothing but to get killed to make the show that bit more dramatic. I poetically didn't like that nice girl getting killed the one who had that big scream when she saw the Cyberman like something out of a horror movie. for when I see a nice girl like her come onto the screen I instantly am like I relate to this girl, she smart, pretty and guys like her, I hope she sticks around two minutes later OH NOOOOOO. I had the same thing with Linda from series 1 final so you could say that this girl was the Linda of this episode and series.

You've probably heard other fans say they preferred the Series 1 "version" of Rose to how she was characterised in Series 2, so it was interesting to read your thoughts from the perspective of someone who saw Series 2 first. Back in 2006 I could sort of see what the writers were trying to do; I just didn't like it. Looking back now, I can see how Rose's characterisation in Series 2 is a development of aspects of her character that were already clearly present in Series 1... but I still don't like the way they wrote her! I've also criticised Tennant's Doctor for being "too human", and your observation about the Cybermen two-parter was an interesting one. I suppose in this particular instance the Doctor's attitude towards the Cybermen can be handwaved by him being able to see time differently to us and thus him being able to clearly see their intention to wipe out humanity. But nevertheless you've got me wondering how Eccleston's Doctor would've acted in the same circumstances.

I do understand that your reply was intended for me and not for Nicole, but unfortunately KZbin doesn't provide proper tools for moderating comments and replies, so my priority always has to be to make sure Nicole never sees anything in the comments section that she doesn't want to know about (which is basically anything about future episodes). It's obvious that you enjoy spending time explaining your thoughts on the episodes, which is great and something that Nicole loves as she enjoys reading different perspectives on the stories and characters. But please always keep in mind, that this only lasts for the time that I´m watching an episode and maybe some minutes after finishing it.
