Oh my god! You're on it. Didn't expect this so quick. I really hope you enjoy it! It's such a wonderfully unique Dalek story and just got great pace and moments.

I have the 1993 audio cassette of this story, the only way to enjoy all 7 episodes until the 2021 animation. The sweeping zooming shot into Maxtible’s living room window was a brilliant surprise and far outdoes the slow backward panning shot of the French windows in the remaining episode.

I absolutely love this story...its not like I'd completely forhotten just how much but watching these snippets - I may end up going back and watching again, even though it really hasn't been that long

I feel like I’m repeating myself when I say I love this one.. tbf I love this whole season really. I mean realistically I like about 95% of the episodes over the 60 years

As much as I love the animations, you're completely right in that it's so awesome to actually watch the real footage. I did a Season 4 rewatch recently and it never properly dawned on me how few original episodes survived. Of the 40-something in the season, only 10 survive, and three of those are from Hartnell's last story. Episode 2 of this story is the last one of the season to survive. It's such a shame that we don't have more early Troughton, but luckily most of the stories from next season are either fully complete or mostly complete (one of which is Tomb, which you've already seen). Speaking of Tomb, do you plan on rewatching it now that you've got context, or are you going to skip over it and go straight on to the next story?

I'm personally not a fan of the animation or the colour added to it but the story itself is epic and it's ashame every episode but part 2 is missing.
