I'm glad more of the Eleven's other incarnations are getting more exposure, there's lots of potential with this character that hasn't been explored yet. I want more stories featuring the Eight, and having another multi-Eleven story would be fun as well, it was great hearing the Eleven and the Nine together in that episode of Ravenous

It amazes me how young Tom Baker sounds

I like that analysis that Tom Baker is playing the 4th doctor as a older looking man. That sold me on this boxset.

Mervyn Peake is such an outside the box choice for a historical, I love it!

I'd love to see The Nine (or The Eleven) onscreen. Replacing the overexposure of The Master.

I believe Peake Season is a bonus story added to this set bc of the 2022 shakeup (ie three disc boxset for other ranges), next year also has The Ghost of Margaret added exclusively to the second Series 12 boxset.

Mr Tardis, I need a bit of help, please 🤔 You see, sir, I'd love to listen to the stories with "The Nine", "The Eleven"... But I don't know what's the right order. Based on their numbers doesn't seem to work, as he appears sporadically through the Doctor's stories. Any clue as to which Big Finish stories go in which order for this character's story arc? 😅 Pretty please?

Charing Cross to Oxford? Bit of a slip up there. And I would say Mervyn Peake is better known as the author of the Gormenghast novels.

I know the Eleven/Nine from the Eighth Doctor Audios and I didn't like them. They are basically the Master with MPD. I will not listen to anything with this character in it he brings down any story he's in.

What didn't you like about them? Personally I find the Eleven to be more interesting than the Master
@mr.sand78992 жыл бұрын
@@darlig.ulv.bakhjerne I feel like if you would take a story with the 11 in it and put the master in it it changes nothing. The 11 is just the master with DID. Take a story like companion peace a story where the 11 captures companions from the doctor's past. Now throw the master in there and it changes nothing.
@darlig.ulv.bakhjerne2 жыл бұрын
@@mr.sand7899 idk I'd say it would change the story quite a lot, the Nine collects companions because he's a kleptomaniac and he wants a collection, the Master would collect companions to try and trap or hurt the Doctor as part of some wider scheme. I think what makes the 11 a refreshing villain compared to the Master is that the Eleven doesn't have the 40 years of narrative baggage that the Master has, there's no incentive for the Eleven or any of his previous incarnations to go after the Doctor specifically (in fact, he often seems irritated that the Doctor shows up at all, in contrast to the Master who often enacts entire schemes for the sole purpose of attracting the Doctor's attention) In general the Eleven is similar to the Master in some ways, but very different in others, especially when you factor in the Eleven's different personalities of previous incarnations affecting his decision-making. Honesty the best example of what I'm talking about is in Planet of Dust from Ravenous 4, the Master meets the Eleven and it's pretty clear from their scenes together how the two differ from each other in terms of attitude, motivations, and methods
