12:55 Saward is wrong. Grade never apologised for what he said. In fact, only in 2011 he said the series was "a crock of garbage" when he was at BBC One.

The truth is that Michael Grade (Idiot) milked his 15 minutes of fame from the teet of Doctor Who's immense popularity. Very few people would not even know or care who he was if it were not for Doctor Who.

Lovely panel! It's always great to hear Frazer Hines talk about the show with such passion and I'm glad they brought Jamie back in the Two Doctors! I always enjoy Doctor Who for what it was and the work that went into that programme when it was fighting against juggernauts like Star Wars was incredible!

Why is Tony Selby there?!! I mean, I love him as Glitz but he was nothing to do with 'The Two Doctors'!! Frazer is such a good mimic!! His impressions of Patrick Troughton and Gary Downie were uncanny!!

I understand there is some long-standing discord between Mr. Baker and Mr. Saward which might account for his absence.

Simply put, Saward turned out to be an arsehole and stabbed Colin in the back after Colin had done nothing but try to empathise and advise him. This plump, effeminate drab with the absurd Annette Kerr hairdo, even scripted 'Revelation of the Daleks' in such fashion that the Doctor and Peri are barely in the first part.... Such a petty, loathsome toad of a man who always looks as though his breath is proper rank.

Of course "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" looked better -- blockbuster films are the American art form. Doctor Who's cheap sets simply made it look like a stage play -- and British live theater has been second to none for centuries. For Grade to misunderstand the appeal of a sci-fi show that looked like live theater, made by the country that does live theater better than literally anywhere else on Earth, speaks of an incredible ignorance of his country's cultural patrimony. We do sci-fi blockbusters. Italians could do sci-fi opera. The French could do a sci-fi ballet. And the Brits are the ones that can sell alien worlds made of cardboard, spray paint, and the best classical acting training in history. I can't get over how an actual Englishman could fail to grasp that.

Sorry to burst your bubble, mate, but all those blockbuster films you say you Americans have made into an art form... I'm thinking Star Wars, Superman, Aliens....etc They were all made in England with our designers and technicians and cardboard. Richard Donner, James Cameron, George Lucas et Al, all adhere that American set designers and cameramen and special effects people just do not compare to English ones...so I'd chose another artform to champion because blockbuster films isn't it. Thanks for the backhanded compliment anyway.
