It's lovely to see around Emrys's room and the artwork/craftwork you created. Thanks for the tour! Tbh, it's also refreshing to see a girl's room that isn't adorned in pinks, purples and stereotypical "girly" themes. Keep safe all!

Glad you enjoyed it! I chose the theme years ago and wanted something somewhat gender neutral because I didn't know what the sex of my child would be but I wanted to start creating art (also why I chose the name Emrys, I felt it was good for either or). I'm not a huge fan of pinks and purples so I really like how her room turned out. The blue is so much more calming. When she's old enough to redecorate who know what she will choose but for now I'm enjoying my choice lol.

@@TheChoiceofMotherhood just watched your second video and I love that you have items from your childhood in Emrys's room. Well done to your parents and yourself for keeping them. Each will carry its own story that you can share with Emrys in the future. Bless your dad for bringing the heavy duck with him! I suppose it could be viewed as a reminder that life is fluid and always changing? Just a thought... I agree that the blue is more calming and the neutral colour behind it helps draw the eye to the warmth of the colours instead of them feeling cool. Too much or the wrong shade of blue could be imposing or too cold but you have the balance just right. I had intended to look up the meaning behind Emrys ages ago (I have a headful of intentions lol) so did it now. I didn't realise it was of Welsh origin and I'm from the UK. I hadn't heard it before watching your videos. With thanks to the Urban Dictionary, I now see the tie-in with Merlin and creating artwork. I enjoyed varied arts and crafts when I was physically able to. So therapeutic. Have a great weekend!
