Pictures he toke inside seems to show that the floor of the cave has raised up and narrowed height as I remembered it back in the 1960's .The height seemed more to almost 6 ft 1/2 way down and then maybe 5 ft by the time one got to the end where water stopped and filled the cave as it seemed to go further.? Always wondered how far the original cave actually went ??

When I was a teen probably about 1964 or so, my brother and friends use to make many adventure trips top Lynn Woods & into Dungeon Rock. So may we had the passAge way paced off in steps for each turn ( yes we used flashlights also. ON one trip we were down to the end by the water, WE heard others enter. After they got closer, my brother in a low deep voice growl said " " Go leave my treasure alone " which was followed by screams and them running out.. Bad part we had to waited about 30 minutes before we left.

Read the new novel: The Pirate Ghost of Dungeon Cave by Margaret M. Desjardins. Based on folklore of Pirate Thomas Veal and ehe Dungeon Rock cave. Contemporary mystery. Excellent!

I know you commented this years ago and likely won’t see it, but my grandfather Thomas Call would always tell me pirate stories and we grew up going to dungeon rock. We did an experiment and put a rock in a tree and 10 years later it worked the tree grew around it! If you have any more info I would be so so appreciative

I feel the same. But you can never say never, maybe we just weren’t there at the “right time”. Idk I do love to leave the possibility of it being haunted. 😊

This video is well worth seeing. The narrator is too modest about the visual quality. It is so much better to see this video than to not see any representation of the entry and the passageways that this video is pretty close to being beyond criticism. Hiram Marble took over this blasting-in-the-past project from spiritualist Jesse Hutchinson, Jr., of the Hutchinson Family concert troupe, when Jesse left Lynn for the California Gold Rush in 1852. One important detail may be incorrect. It is far from certain that Katie Fox was present when Maggie Fox "confessed" to the spirit rappings being a fraud. My understanding is that Katie was in England at the time. W.G. Langworthy Taylor, in whose boyhood home Katie Fox resided, wrote of Maggie's denunciation of spiritualism with no mention of Katie being present. His parents were among Katie's closest friends and he was in an excellent position to know. Personally, I have seen a contemporary report saying that Katie was there and she sat quietly; but errors in nineteenth century news reports are not unknown - far from it - and this report is a great deal less than certain. My personal opinion is that it is untrue. Speaking of the personal, on sheets from two consecutive United States Census reports, the Hiram Marble household is recorded immediately after that of my great great great grandmother, Susan M. Lewis. I would love to know whether hobnobbing went on between the Marble family and mine. To rap up, so to speak, congratulations to the producers of this terrific video. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Very well done!

I met someone tonight that said he and his friends swam under and came through at another point..they were dumb kids he remarked and felt up the ceiling as they swam ahead not knowing if they were going to get anywhere..I asked him, ummm u didnt think that maybe youd have to turn around and maybe run out of air in the process..nope he said..we were dumb. I agreed and added yah u dont even know what that water was all about. I dont know if I believe him. I wouldn't try it.

I am the man who lived on Henshit hill , I grew up with a view of Salem,Lynn,Revere,Boston all while in Suagus , I am One of a Kind . However if you don't believe in Medical Freedom , I'm Not Your Kind. Elephant Rock has it's meanings to me , even though I am my own party , have nothing to do with any parties but mine own . Peculiar huh ? My ghost lives on , 1960s, 1978,1977 and soon to be GONE or Here to haunt them.

he discredits orbs, but if his explanation is correct why are there only orbs in certain pictures in certain places. im sure some of them are explainable but some are not.
@DoctorColonelGonzo
@DoctorColonelGonzo 6 жыл бұрын
The simple explanation would be if there's no dust or water drops near the camera you won't have any orbs. The angle of the camera and refraction are very important too. Simplest explanation is usually the correct one. Dust and water create the same effect. Makes more sense to me then someone's spirit flying around. My opinion of course :)
