I currently study animation and I remember during my first year from one of my professors on the traditional arts (Yup, 3D animation requires you to learn the traditional aspects of art and animation including 2D) said that sometimes sticking to the typical colors is boring. It won't catch easily the attention of the people's eyes especially during these days. That is why breaking the law or let's say giving a twist for making the colors more different is not a bad thing. Other factors, maybe because contemporary art styles rely on what the artist see and interpret from their mind thus rejecting the rule of the older art genres to capture the natural color and depiction of real life (realism). Hence, (maybe because) why the whole visual interpretation for song was more minimal (or "minimalism"), these features a lot of geometrical forms especially on the reflection of memories with austere patters and twisted colors) compared to the other songs from the same movie. Nice reaction bro!

Lol such a good point about the colors of the elements. If you want to read more about that answer, read “The Art of Frozen II” art book. They’re those shades of blues and purples because when you put light inside of a glacier those colors are the ones to pop out. So they’re trying to be magical but realistic as well.

It's so fun watching you! I love how you see the joy and peace and self-actualization that, in my opinion, makes this one of the greatest Disney ballads ever. Last year I got out of a 17 year marriage and stepped out on my own at the age of 38. When I saw the movie, and especially this song, I truly saw myself in Elsa. In "Let It Go", we saw a scared, overwhelmed, defiant Elsa who was basically saying "Screw You" as she built her castle. Here we see her powerfully stepping in to her destiny and connecting with everything and everyone around her instead of isolating. I watch this video at least a couple times a week, and it never ceases in making me feel powerful and inspired. Like you, I'm a musical theatre singer (so sad right now!) and I appreciate how dynamic this song is vocally and musically. I like how the writing in this show allows for more head voice for both girls and doesn't rely too heavily on belting. Keep making videos!

Agree to disagree with your interpretation of the final scene it is much more symbolic. She knows what to do with the gens because her unconscious is guiding her since she has accepted its call. Her memories are her unconscious unblocking and showing itself to her so she learns her own story and her essence. Also the "air bending" is a representation of her unleashing her true power that comes from finding herself and knowing her true purpose. Remember also that this scene is supossrf to be the crucial part of Elsas journey

I agree with everything you said! As much as I love the song and that much of the whole sequence is beautifully made, it does start to make less sense towards the end of the song in terms of what we see happening on screen. I too was asking myself how she knew she was supposed to step in the middle of the spirits pattern and the climax of the music doesn't really go with the visual either. I had expected much more of an amazing visual after she was carried up with the spirits, instead of that dome of memories, which was quite underwhelming to say the least. Her new dress is beautiful but she could've transformed into that dress in a much more spectacular way and the duet with her mom could've had even more of a beautiful visual. Elsa making a lot of wind come around her is also super confusing and makes no sense at all. I feel that a lot was rushed and put together randomly and maybe there was a deadline issue that made that particular scene end up as confusing as it did. After some digging, I stumbled upon worship flag dancing, which similar in some respects, led me to the works of Loie Fuller who was an innovator of modern dance and the use of multicolored lighting effects. I knew I had seen those visuals before. The fringes on Elsa's arms were likely inspired by both forms. I'm sorry, I just couldn't let it go!
