Some research suggests that intermittent fasting may be more beneficial than other diets for reducing inflammation and improving conditions associated with inflammation, such as:
Alzheimer's disease, Arthritis, Asthma, Multiple sclerosis, Stroke

I agree with him. It has helped me become calm, think better, reduce anxiety, anger response and feel energetic. I eat my dinner by 5 pm and then take breakfast by 8 am. I also skip my dinner some days but I eat properly during the day. It has helped me reverse sleep issues, something which looked impossible to me to cure. My relationship with my parents have improved because I don't complaint and argue with them about the dinner menu as I skip dinner many days. I found I have no reason now to argue with them.

Absolutely spot on. There are other benefits, but that goes beyond intermittent fasting, into regular fasting, for at least 3 days. But all those benefits can be gained by eating a ketogenic diet, any low carb diet (below 50 grams a day in carbs) or a zero carb carnivore diet.

I don't eat during the hours that I sleep. That's my version of intermittent fasting, because skipping meals isn't for me. If I skipped a meal, I'd end up so ravenously hungry that I'd end up eating deep-fried food and/or other nutritional train wrecks. I remember when skipping meals used to be the mark of anorexia.

2 popular varieties of intermittently fasting are "time-restricted eating" and "one meal a day" (OMAD). For the former, there seems to be a consensus on 16:8 as the minimum. i.e. 16 hours of fasting, 8 hour period in which one can eat. Disclaimer: I am not a doctor. Do consult a doctor before embarking on non-gradual dietary changes.
@drnatesw

hey, it all depends on you choosing regular fasting intervals depending on your capacity to fast. All that matters is consistency. 8hrs is the general avg.

@dalimadison7553
@dalimadison7553 Жыл бұрын
I would eat as late in the morning as you could to take your meds. Then that starts your eating window. I do a 16:8, two meals in the eating window. Complete my second meal before the end of 8 hours. So just shift when you feed. Example: 1st meal @9am, second meal completed by 5pm. The longer you have to digest in the evening, the better for your body.
