If you like old machines and modern ones, the MC707 might be the perfect all-in-one. It can be whatever you want, even a great emulation of an E-mu SP1200, I don't think there is any sampler with faders to do impromptu mixing live like you do with an E-mu SP1200. If the sampler part is really cool, the Roland SP404 mk2 has another approach and is 100% dedicated to sampling and sound processing in real time, but the MC-707 does it too! It is zen-core technology, it has different synthesizers, PCM's like the classic Mc's, very good presets and very well selected sounds ready to manipulate or customize on the fly, the sequencer is brutal, a kind of mini ableton live or garageban looper you have there. And last and very important, very good pads of a good size for the most comfortable finger drumming, really if that's what you need, here you have everything. I sold my MPC live 2 to buy this thing and analog things, and this MC-707 even though it has 8 tracks can accumulate more in a chain, it also has 8 individual USB outputs, with Logic Pro it works perfect.
