Hi! After chopping the sample, can you change the pitch and key of it on the MC707?

Yes, in the sample edit screen. Press shift and the pad of the sample. Press enter. Select Inst edit. You will find all the params you need there

Great video, a question, If you have pos 1 and adjust the End point and then goes to pos 2 and adjust startpoint and then go back to position 1 it has gone back to the setting from when you sliced it. Is there a possibility to store the endpoint and then work with pos 2?

I would probably just assign that slice to the pad, then move to position two.

The issue you're probably having is that you're moving the end point of position past the start point of position 2. So, I would get the start point of 2 moved to where it needs to be and then try to adjust the end of position 1. If nothing Overlaps, then they should hold their positions.

Yes, but you only get the first 4 tracks of the 707

You can save the clip as well and just put that clip in a new project.

Hey Unit:E… I’m trying to find a couple of answers to the mc707. I’ve watched a few videos to get some answers. I used the mc707 for a short time a year or so ago and thinking about buying one. 1. Can you use a usb hub to send MIDI to synths that utilize usb instead of using midi? 2. I know one track can utilize 16 sounds (drum kit for example). Can a Novation Launch Control XL be used to map the faders to control the volume of individual drum sounds? Basically using the LC XL as a MIDI TR8s, in a sense. Thank you for all these videos.

Hi! 1. I have never tried this. Since the 707 can send multiple midi channels over usb, I don't see why this couldn't be possible. 2. There is no midi control over individual pad parameters on a drum track, unfortunately. This is one of the main reasons I use a TR-8S for my drums and save the 707 for synth/sequencer duty.

@@UnitE808 I’m watching your iPad with mc707 video now. Can you run the iPad directly into the USB port? I’m guessing so since you mentioned multiple MIDI, and since it does audio over usb. If not, I’ll guessing the Roland usb to MIDI interface cable would be just as easy. Also, can the TR8s/6s do this as well? I own the 6s, and used the 101/707 when they first came out, but that was before all the great updates.

@@MikeJayMusic the iPad runs perfectly through usb. 6S would have to use audio cables and midi. Otherwise, you can try a type B to type B usb cable

@@UnitE808 Better sampler but TBH i dont think its possibile. Saw "memory full" prompt so many times...Thinking to swap it for Force. I need something with bigger memory to play it live. But on the other hand Roland is so stable - nothing is crashing.

​@@RicoTropicomemory is probably a hardware limit. Pair it with an SP404MKII, and sequence from the MC if you like. The SP has almost limitless sample storage. You can load in huge samples, chop, manipulate, resample, etc. It's a dedicated sampler after all.

@@bloopbleepnothinghere Haved SP-404mk2 and selled it two weeks ago. I will stick with Maschine Plus - it works with MC-707 very well. And i hopr for Zenbeats integration comint to MC family.
