@pinkdispatcher6 жыл бұрын
@@PulledPurk, the DX7 can make nice cowbell sounds. Not everyone likes FM, but it's more flexible than people give it credit for. It's got a bad reputation because Yamaha chose to make it incredibly awkward to program. The MODX uses the Montage FM(-X) engine, which is an extension of the original DX7 FM engine: 8 operators instead of 6, several waveforms instead of just sine, and 128 voice polyphony instead of 16. The DX7 capabilities are notionally a true subset of the Montage capabilities, so it should be able to reproduce (almost, there may be some subtle aliasing effects) all DX7 sounds quite faithfully. (I wouldn't be surprised if the Montage could actually understand DX7 sysex files and convert them to Montage patches.)

Ciao Claudio - great video... your performance of *_Children_* was beautiful... I can't believe it has been nearly 2 years since Roberto passed; I have created several tribute remixes of his wonderful music in this time; he may have passed away but his music will never die. His passing was both a shock and also a wake-up call to me - to enjoy life, to be creative and do the things I love... basically its fair to say the reason I own a MODX is all thanks to Roberto, so thank you Robert :-) Hopefully others will now enjoy the music that I create as a result... Best Regards, Axel. p.s. A thumbs-up from me - disco funk rules ;-)
