Wow, thank you so much for sharing this video! I've been on the hunt for a robot mower that doesn't need perimeter wires, and the Segway Navimow seems to be the perfect fit. I love how it offers convenience and efficiency, making lawn maintenance a breeze. Definitely going to give it a try based on your reviews. Keep up the great work, and thank you again for sharing your thoughts on robot mowers!

How did you deal with the low stumps? They look maybe low enough to foul the mower? Did you have to island them?

The tree stumps? Yes, I routed boundary wire around them.

@doctormosfet fair enough. Finally got my 435x going and I have to say it's an impressive bit of kit! Have seen it experience that same issue bottoming out on a rapid slope change as you described but otherwise it's performance on my very hilly place is outstanding

Thanks for the video. I am researching this automower to determine if it’s suitable for my residential lawn terrain (many very steep areas). I figured YT would be a good place to start. Is your 435X automower still working, today, as well as it was when you filmed this video?

It still works well. I actually just had more false lifted errors the other night, but it was full of grass clippings, some of which were binding up the joysticks. Spent a few minutes cleaning it all off and it was as good as new. My only real gripe with it is that some steeper sections of my lawn have rocky dirt under the grass and this mower just tears it up. Maybe it cuts that section too often for how much sunlight that section gets, but it is beating that section up a lot, partly by digging into the steep sections with its nose and that ends up exposing the underlying dirt and rocks. Other than that, it is working very nicely. I'm actually tempted to try out a Luba, as it does not use boundary wires and would therefore open up some new options for my lawn care. Maybe it would also be gentler on those steeper sections in my property. I haven't decided yet to get one, but I might.

Thanks@@doctormosfet for taking the time to reply to my post and for the feedback on the 435X robot mower. Good luck with your Luba research.

It's not the nicest lawn for sure, but the goal isn't to make it look like Versailles. The goal is to have something which can reliably cut the grass over rough, uneven terrain. The 435x does this job very well. You can probably get one now for less than I spent on it, given what the competition is capable of now.
