Unfortunately, I think she realizes how negatively stigmatized her eye condition is on the tv show and that the other quints don't have eye problems, so she feels its worse than it really is. Since she's shy, it also couldn't be easy for her to have to answer to her doctor about her eyes if she wasn't sure. I hope she can overcome those feelings. She's so incredibly sweet and kind.

@@shellipost6063 I think it is a situation with mixed emotions. I don't think she likes drawing attention to her glasses, but her sisters are very protective of her. Notice how Ava went over to her when she saw she was upset. I think the fact that Buzz also wears glasses offsets some of her self consciousness. But her glasses, red hair, and small stature make her unique among the quints and sometimes, as a child, you don't want to be different. Overall, she seems well adjusted and to enjoy life. Remember, she also was the first quint to have a boyfriend! I think she will do just fine.

As someone who has had bad vision/ an eye condition, and has worn glasses since i was 1 year old, I feel for Hazel. It took me a while to be able to convey how I was seeing and to know how to answer when doctors asked about how my vision was, I couldnt really tell if it was worse, better or the same, it always seemed like it was just one way. I was insecure of wearing glasses and of my eyes because alot of other kids would ask me various questions (like "why do you wear glasses?", "why are your eyes so big?", "why do you're eyes look like that", etc.) whether I wore them or not, because my eye condition is visible, I hated when the topic of my eyes/vision was brought up when I was younger. Kids would even ask to try my glasses and say "woah, youre blind" which didnt make it better as a little kid Itll take some time but she will get a more comfortable as she gets older, im 19 now and ive mostly gotten confortable at the doctors and I dont really mind talking about it too much now, even though there is still a little part of me that is insecure about my eyes (way less than I was before)

I, as an adult, wearing glasses, sometimes it is very difficult to explain to the doctors how my vision is.
