Hazel is so brave to sit in a big chair at the orthodontist & get her pallet expander so her teeth will have enough room to move in there after she looses all of her baby teeth & room for the adult teeth as well. I was the same way as Hazel was at her age & had to have expander for my palate for awhile. I had a very small mouth & at age 12 I had to have four teeth pulled & get braces & had them for 6-8 yrs! I have had them a total of 4 times in my mouth. The most important thing to remember to do when your an older kid to wear that retainer every night for the rest of your life. I know you will do a good job Hazel with your family by ur side! Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to ur family as well! Glad Blayke enjoys cooking! Keep it up sweet girl!

even though I'm older than Blake by two years honestly she seems like such a nice kid and I would love to meet her and be friends with her. She just seems like she'd be really fun to be around and hang out around because she's always positive and she's always trying to help out and I need her in my life.

brown the blour in the chicken grease and make gravy, once it turns brown, then add your chicken broth . It will be delicious. I was taught this when i was her agae, I'm now 75 and still making my gravy! Enjoy!

Blayke, one way to make gravy is to add about 2 Tablespoons of flour to the drippings in the pan. If you do not have drippings put some butter let it melt and then add flour. Constantly stir and then add your chicken broth and stir constantly. It looks like your gravy turned out beautifully like you did it. I am so proud of you and your cooking. Your chicken looks good. I wish when I was a kid after visiting the orthodontist I got a treat. I might have actually gone to more appointments vs saying that I was "sick" to avoid the pain of the braces being tightened. Once she's all done with her orthdontic work she will have a beautiful smile. Hazel can lead by example for when her sisters start their orthodontic work. Merry Christmas to the Busbys. 😁

Why? She isn’t the only child out there with health issues. Compared to many other kids who are dealing life threatening illness, she is fine. Many kids have eye issues and such.

I wonder if expanders are new. When I had braces in the late 80s they just pulled teeth because I didn’t have room. This left me with fewer teeth than the average person and I use the child size trays when I have to get impressions done (they barely fit)

I had braces as a kid from ages 8 to 14 hurt so bad plus weakened my adult teeth enamel I had to get fillings and one root canal. The braces are much better but can still be torture for some kids who have very small jaws the require expanders
