I’ll never blame my mom for this. I can’t imagine what it was like to see her child have this happen. I was rock climbing and fell off the wall from 35 feet up. She tried to run away because she was so afraid. Another woman caught her and told her that wasn’t going to help, but I can understand. I love my mom because all she was worrying about was how horribly I had been hurt and all I worried about was how scared she was. We ended up talking about my dog because stories about her kept us both calm.

How true is that? "Say I love you often".... I just watched a video on TheSpineGuy channel. A man, ironically a parametic, broke his neck attempting a flip at the start of a zip line. It was the first day of a vacation with his wife celebrating being offically "empty nesters" 🙈 Always say "i love you" and if you can't say it, express it how you can. Today is the 4th of october and almost 20 years ago today, my mom was hit by a truck while crossing the road. I am thankful everyday that she miraculously survived without many lingering problems.... considering she actually did die and was brought back. Love the way you bring humanity into a medical show. 💕 ✌️👏👏

I've had a chest drain put in while conscious and I don't think people undertand just how much it hurts. The lidocaine only helps for the surface cuts; you can feel every second of the tube going through the chest wall. I could even feel it scraping against my ribs as they pushed it in. If anyone reading this ever needs a chest drain while you're awake, you need to be adamant about asking them for pain meds before they start. I cannot stress this enough. Don't try to "just get through it", there's no need to be a hero and there's no need to be in pain when you don't need to be.

@@karinabarnes Well, he had been exploding out of both ends for 24 hours and now they are in a public place with no place to adequately clean up if he explodes on them. Baby got what he needed from them, eye contact and soft words. Holding him whilst he was crying would not do much, given he was crying because he was sick, not lonely.

They are fine. The husband said that when he met her, she looked like she would be hard work and then as they interacted, he discovered otherwise. He explained that regardless how she looks, she's very warm, caring and with a great sense of humour. I recognize the look she has - the resting face that makes a person look angry and/or hard. My mom had that type of resting face. Mom could be sitting quietly and looking really angry and when I checked to see if everything was okay, she would respond very cheerfully. She couldn't help her resting face. And I think this girl is rather sweet, just reserved in public. I had my daughter in ER once as a baby and although it was a highly emotional situation and I felt like a wreckage inside, outwardly I kept it together because I come from strong British roots and we manage ourselves in front of others. The British saying "keep calm and carry on" is so real.

They said so themselves, picking him up causes him to scream. Why? Because having an infection and fever makes touch hurt, same in babies as in adults. I'm sure they wanted to love on him but sometimes you have to back off for the sake of the child.

@@Gibbs-u1e 19:51 The "much needed" comment about him losing weight. It was much needed for the baby to lose weight? A healthy baby is a plump baby, they are growing every day. Weird vibes form them both. And she did just look at the baby, the dad was tending to him more and the one discussing the situation with the doctor. Also they both talked about worrying about spoiling the baby, the whole concept of spoiling a baby is just stupid, babies cannot be spoiled, they aren't even self aware till around 18 months. They were confusing the concepts of love, discipline and spoiling in their conversations. Perhaps it was all bad editing but they didn't come across very well.
