My son is 15 years old and he has this. Sometimes his stomach looks that big. This is NOT a joke and for you people that say just eat this or that and you'll be fine.. You're wrong. It's a defect in the colon! And it's horrible that there's nothing they can do but remove the colon. And then what? A bag? No. That's why we see a hydrocolon therapist. She cleans out my son once a month and it saved his life. He's no longer diabetic from poop sitting inside him for so long. He had cirrhosis of the liver even and some Dr asked if my 12yr old was an alcoholic! Hydrocolon therapy works and we all should be doing it. Obesity wouldn't be an issue anymore. Can you imagine?!?

Yes girl! I used to do home health for a sweet lady who bed bound. She had Parkinson’s and needed quite a lot of help throughout the day… especially changing her positions on the bed so she didn’t get bed sores. She wore adult diapers and I had to change her. I’ll never forget how she went nearly two week without pooping and was sooo miserable. So I got the idea to just kind of roll her around on the bed and get her blood circulating better… at this point we had already done an enema that hadn’t been successful. She was rolled over on her side and dude…. That shit came out like a soft serve ice cream machine that just wouldn’t stop. And I kid you not, looked every bit the size of a large 10 pound baby😳 She praised me for getting her to poop right up until she died almost a year later.

I'm not in the medical field, but as far as I understand it, this man didn't have normal constipation. His condition caused him to lack the nerve endings in the colon necessary to cause the colon to propel the matter along. Laxatives were not as effective because they often work by stimulating those nerve endings, and he lacked them.

Chronic constipation can be an early warning sign of colorectal cancer. I know this firsthand. If you are experiencing any symptoms like this, talk to your doctor, DO NOT wait. Suspicious piles can also be a concern. Cancer isn't always a tumor, sometimes it's a sore, a deep one eventually in my case. I almost waited too long to go to a doctor. Please don't make the same mistake. It could have cost me my life.

My son was tested for this illness when he was 3 years old. It started immediately after I weaned him from breastfeeding at 2-1/2 years old. He just did not want to go poo. After 13 long hard months when he was on "Miralax," a prescription drug laxative at the time, I ended up taking him off these laxatives because he had constant diarrhea for all these months. Slowly he learned to poo and it took until he was 4-1/2 until he felt comfortable. It was a nightmare from age 2-1/2 to 4-1/2. The diagnosis was encopresis. Terrible experience and very frightening because I remember once he didn't have a bowel movement for 9 straight days & I got worried. He is fine now....thank God!

Poor guy! I know how painful that can be. I have mild gastroparesis, and so, I have to drink Miralax every day to keep from getting impacted. One time, I had to take some narcotic pain medications and got off track with my Miralax. I wound up in the hospital with a nearly full bowel obstruction after not pooping for 10 days. . . Thankfully, I didn't need surgery, but, it took two bottles of magnesium citrate on top of my regular Miralax to get it all out.

Omg this scared me! I have had chronic constipation for as long as I can remember. I take 2 stool softener/laxatives every night and I generally end up using an enema every 3 days. This is my life. My 25 year old son is even worse. He does not use anything and only goes once every 10-14 days and it is like rocks and it rips him up. Now I am incredibly worried about him. How do you know if you have the condition this man had?
@karenfanning53996 жыл бұрын
Hirschsprung's is a genetic condition, so it is something you are born with and will normally show up early on in life. If you and your son have not seen one, I highly recommend getting referred to a gastroenterologist; a doctor who specializes in the GI system. Chronic constipation can be serious, and there are so many causes. Everything from not drinking enough fluids, to taking pretty much any medication, to having a physical anomaly in your stomach or intestines can alter the way your GI system works. It's also a really rotten way to live. I did for years. I was also a nurse for long time, so I've seen lots of people suffer too. Do both of yourselves a favor; if you haven't, find a specialist near you who may be able to help you feel better.
@cuteONE227 жыл бұрын
If you have a balanced diet, you won't suffer from constipation. Also, Everyday you should eat green salad seasoned with a little bit of olive oil, eat at least two types of fruit, one small spoon of honey, eat a mildly spicy dish (very very important), drink coffee and lots of water. You will NEVER have any bathroom issues.
@karenfanning53996 жыл бұрын
Maybe you should teach every doctor at every medical school this, plus tell EVERY practicing adult or pediatric doctor, plus every surgeon, OB/GYN, Rheumatologist, Cardiologist, Endocrinologist, and oh yes..GASTROENTEROLOGIST in the entire world that you have all the answers and they are ALL wrong!!
@chelelee6321 Жыл бұрын
Many times this happens as a result of another issue. Like this video, one can have a congenital defect of the bowel. Other complications can also affect the bowels and the ability to empty them. Yes, a healthy diet is essential, however, not every case can be solved in this way. I have had trouble my whole life but I eat a very nutritious diet and exercise daily. I suffer because of a defect. I also have to take an antihistamine, steroids and pain medication for an autoimmune disorder. Though these meds keep me in remission and able to live my life as near to normal as possible... they can also cause issues in the bowel. I'm very happy you've been able to fix the issue through a healthy diet but it's just not that easy in many cases.

For a person who has constipation, even when i was a kid, i have a hard time. Sometimes i cant poop for days, i would tell my mom, i thought it was normal, when i learn you have to poop everyday. I would sit on the bowl every day even just a little, i would drink milk, lots of water, and go juicing, i would even take herbal supplements.
@karenfanning53996 жыл бұрын
Not everyone has to poop every day, actually. Every person is different, and our bodies all function differently from each others' in some ways. It will vary by diet, activity level, amount of exercise, fluid intake, medications and your metabolism. Some people go three times a day, some people twice a week. It is about what is normal for YOU. If you feel like you aren't going enough to meet your body's needs, you should speak with your doctor.

I'm going off the laxatives, changing my diet completely, being more active, taking digestive enzymes, magnesium, olive oil and warm water with lemon every morning + apple cider vinegar during the day and the bloating has gone down a bit at least.
