Man, looking at her I would never have guessed any of this about her. My first impression was she was a pretty girl that comes from money and lived an easy life. I'm happy she opened up about all of this and my respect for her has jumped up. I wish Esther and the whole crew nothing but the best moving forward, you guys have a special bond and as an Asian American, I'm happy to see you guys doing this show, I wished I could've done something like this with my friends when we were younger.

I’m epileptic, but Esther talking about her seizures makes me feel so validated cause she gets it fr. Although, I’m almost always conscious when I have my seizures. I often do the same with the whole auras and I’ve gotten used to hiding in the bathroom because I get so embarrassed. People don’t really know how to react when someone has a seizure and they often just stare and it makes you feel even worse.

The memory loss that happens due to sizures, the anxiety, the injuries that happen, and mental health i can really relate to. I really look forward to each episode you guys put out. aww Esther, I appreciate you sharing your story because I can relate to a lot of what you said! for me, I’ve always dealt with anxiety but this year I started seeing how it affected my physical health which lead to my body going completely numb from the anxiety. it was so scary but I didn’t have insurance so I just tried to ignore it until I couldn’t take it anymore. I’m the eldest of my parents and anytime I thought about telling them I also felt like it was a burden. Sometimes when we’re raised to be so independent it’s hard to lean on others for support because we’re used to showing that emotion only in our solitude and at our own pace on our own terms. But I’m glad you were able to talk ab it with us and that you have people in your corner who are trying to create that safe space to be vulnerable. Much love to you, and yes I am one of those ppl who mainly watches for you lol ❤️

Already listened to the whole thing on Apple yesterday, but I wanna watch this as well. Esther, you are a very inspiring woman, it was entertaining to watch you before, because of your friendly energy and attitude, but after hearing your story, I truly admire you for remaining so optimistic and kind after all you've been through! It takes a lot of courage and strength to battle physical illnesses alongside mental ones. As someone who just started recovering from a severe depression, I am becoming more hopeful seeing you accomplish so much. I wish you to be surrounded by understanding and reliable people, and best of luck!

I’ve been waiting for this episode! Thank you Esther, for sharing and everyone else who made it a safe space for her. As someone who has had epilepsy as a teen and 20s, I struggle being open about it and having to put into words the feelings that come along with it. But I can relate to SO MUCH of what was talked about- not having control over my own body, having feeling hopeless, feeling limited in day to day activities and life overall. Glad to see how you overcame it all! Much love

I'm so glad to see and hear Esther opening up and sharing this with everyone especially since she thought of the seizures as a "weakness', which isn't true.. Her sharing her experiences shows that she doesn't think of it as a "weakness" anymore, and instead is sharing to show who she is, to genuinely connect with others, and (unknowingly) showing how strong she is. To go through something so terrifying and have to deal with the consequences, presumably for the rest of her life, is daunting and overwhelming to even think about.. On top of that, to deal with anxiety, depression and anxiety attacks, I honestly don't know how I would deal with it. That's coming from someone who has also dealt with anxiety and depression. To Esther: Having seizures resulting from a TBI is NOT A WEAKNESS. That can and will happen to anyone who has a TBI. I do have questions about the person whom you were sparing with, but it's also not me to ask.. I'm glad to see that you're doing better now and have things somewhat under control.. I'm glad to see you able to reframe how you think and feel about things which ultimately affects how you feel about everything in life. It's the difference between understanding/happiness and unhappiness..

Just some info for how to protect a person having a seizure (especially tonic-clonic seizures) don’t lay them flat on their back, put them on their left side and obviously protect their head with your hands, arms, pillows, or anything soft! You should lay them on their left side so that if they vomit, it won’t go into their lungs

I feel the same way, or at least I feel that I do. I'm not Ester, so I can't say that for sure. I'm 16 and just feel so weak and like another expense for my parents ,I feel like every time I talk to someone, I'm trama dumping.
