My wife and I were staying with a friend and his wife in Aspen, CO, when this song came on, and stuck with me ever since. My wife's gone, the friends are gone, but this song, brings them back, and that beautiful weekend in Aspen.

I've seem MMM in concert 5 times. My darling husband has been gone 15 years tomorrow. When I listen to this song, I picture my horse riding, country music loving husband coming for me on his magic horse, Outlaw. I still have lots of living to do but when it's my turn, my husband will come on his horse to get me. ❤

He's with you every day. Keep him in your heart. We all see each other again. After I watched NDE on KZbin, I felt so much better. It's where people have had near death experiences and what they saw on the other side for those brief moments. They are beautiful!!! It changed the way I feel about losing people and pets in my life. I'm no longer sad. I Highly recommend watching those on KZbin. It will change your whole perspective 😊

I was in a serious accident in Minneapolis in April of 2014. In my Semi. A woman cut me off in traffic. She had 8 children in her vehicle and I swerved real hard to avoid hitting her because I was concerned about the children. I had a Traumatic Brain Injury and I was in a coma for 7weeks. I walked with my Lord and Savior Jesus. I. Thought I had passed away from the Accident. But Jesus said that I had more to do here with my family. I've become more confident that it was a real experience

I was a senior in high school when this song hit the airwaves. Back then, it was just another tune written by another country singer. I'm now 66 years of age. I've been listening to this fabulous page out of my past and am amazed at just how quickly it conjures up so many different yet poignant memories each and every time I hear it. It's almost as though I'm staring at a reflection in in a hazy window but can never pin down whether or not I'm on the outside looking in or vice versa. Loves that have been lost, loves that have been won and some that never even had a chance. I will always drift back to my youth whenever this songs graces my sense of hearing and I will always be grateful for the peace and tranquility that it provides. Thank You M.M.M for this precious gift!

My late husband and I attended a Seals & Crofts concert at the Dome outside Rochester, New York, many years ago, thanks to our friend Curt, who was the father-in-law of one of Seals & Crofts' roadies. Michael Murphey performed "Wildfire" that night at the concert. I think it was soon after the song was released. We met Michael and his wife before the show. Of course we were thrilled when we realized it was his song we had been hearing on the radio. We met Jimmy Seals and Dash Crofts after the show. What a wonderful evening and memory for a small-town couple! We were married for 60 years and still mentioned that evening throughout our time together.

There’s something magical about this song…… Between the guitar playing and the keyboards it’s just amazing how it takes me to heaven and I feel like I’m close to God every time I listen to it. It makes me wonder if this gentleman knows God and if he can feel it when he sings it too, it’s such a blessing to me and after all these years, it still affects me the same way. I sit and listen with no other sound and it touches my soul deeply. Thank you for being obedient to write this song. I know it’s touched hundreds of people-if not, thousands…….it brings me such peace, it’s amazing and I’m so glad I have it to listen to over and over again. Love in Christ, Tania Rose

Totally agree-there must be something and the coveyance of this Beautiful piece is very Heavenly inspired or even the interpretation that we have the ability to create Heaven on Earth which I think was God's wish for us! I always look around at nature and revel in how Beautiful it is!I harken back to a Little House on the Prairie episode where a rather Statuesquely Beautiful Women I think says to Laura that she doesn't attend church but being outdoors in nature is her "Cathedral" where she communes with God!An Irish Blessing to you all!

I lost the love of my life, I thought, she was killed riding her horse, got off to open a gate, and when she went to get back on him, she was near a roadway. A driver blew his horn at her, and the horse bolted out in front of.a truck. Both were killed instantly. One day I hope to see her, but God showed me mercy, and sent another love to me, we have been married now for over 44 years, 5 beautiful children, 9 grands, God is so Great, and so mighty, I couldn’t live another minute without his love and Spirit, Jesus is all I need!!! I’m so very sorry to hear about your mother with her battle with breast cancer. I know how awful it is. My sister is going through the exact same thing with breast cancer that spread through her body. She starts her 2nd bout of even stronger Chemo that is sure to make her hair fall out and make her very sick. She’s 9 years older than me at 67 and her being a teenager in the late 60s and early 70s, she taught me about all these bands and musicians and we would listen to records together. I was 4 and she 13 in 1969 when she started as my Rock&Roll Teacher, despite the serious generation gap between our parents and us kids, who hated Rock&Roll. (Though this song is a beautiful ballad, and considered soft rock.) My sister would often babysit me on the weekends and she’d sneak us to concerts in Miami with her hippie friends.. I would ,literally, be the youngest kid there. She was a very caring sister. I hope she makes it through this disease, but if she doesn’t, I’ll always have sadness in my heart for the rest of my life. Again, I’m so sorry to hear about your mommy. Incredibly mine, as well as my dad are still alive at 92 and 95. My parents and I are all heartbroken that this is happening to her. I very much hope your mommy pulls through this dreaded disease. You have my sympathies.

I had her for over 50 years but this song brings the tears to my eyes as I loved her so. The courage and dignity she showed through her illness I will never forget and I hope I have the same at my end days. Thank you wildfire

This song has "moved" my heart and soul more than words can explain for such a long time. It is just beautiful & majestical. I have named my sailboat "Wildfire" and someday, when I get my own Palomino, like Michael Martin Murphy did, I will name her "Wildfire". I really love this song with all my heart, so much, it makes me cry...not for being sad or happy, just the passion it evokes in my soul.

Oh sweetie this isn't country music by any means. It was called folk music or soft rock. But as a 1970's youth I'm really glad you enjoyed it. We had a lot of great black bands and also great bands with black & white people in them. We would go to the dance clubs and we all were together black & white. One of my favorite bands was called Hot Chocolate and one of my favorite songs of theirs was called Every1's A Winner. They had a lot of great songs and they were a black & white band. All of those guys were so handsome. Google them and try to find the Video of them singing that song. I promise you'll love it. 👍

Back in the 70’s I worked in a little downtown beer & wine bar frequented by a great variety of folks. We had one regular customer come in as soon as we opened up every day - an old guy ravaged by time and alcohol who had given in to his addiction long ago. He used to sit by himself at a little table near the jukebox every day, order a beer, and play this song over and over, singing along with it at top volume with all his heart. He never bothered anybody, and after a few beers he’d get up and walk out. I can never hear this song without thinking of this old man. He sure did love that magic horse.
