Man!!! The Dominican really needs to clean up and organize it's border towns. The border towns have basically become an extension of Haiti with the same chaos, poverty, and mess that occurs in the Haitian side. It's unfortunate to see that the progress that you can notice in other locations of the Dominican has yet to reach the border zone. More investment, more control, and more tax revenue generation is needed in this area. Its unbelievable how people can cross back and forth freely

¿The island of Quisqueya? What a mistake! The Dominican side is called "Quisqueya". The name of the island is Hispaniola.

Actually, the entire island is called Hispaniola or Quisqueya, having been named Quisqueya by the Tainos, although it is common these days to refer only to the DR portion as Quisqueya. Look it up on Google.

James Madigan Quisqueya is how the first inhabitants of the Dominican side used to call their side of the island. The tainos of the Haitian side used to call their side "Haiti". Now, these fellows want to call the entire side island "Quisueya". Don't believe everything that Google tells you. Sometimes the information on certain websites is posted by people that don't know much about the topic.

Felix, The first inhabitants, the Tainos, had the entire island, comprised of five provinces. Marien, Magua, Maguana, Jaragua, and Higuey... The Taino referred to the entire island as Quisqueya; Jaragua and a part of Marien is what became Haiti. Check it out on Wikipedia ... I don't pay attention to what people say on You Tube for obvious reasons...

Remember that the information on Wikipedia is sometimes posted for common people, who do not necessarily know much about the topics they develop. The Inhabitants of the Haitian side used to call their side Haití, the ihnabitant of the Dominican side used to call their side Quisqueya. The whole island is calle Hispaniola, check it out on your favorite geography book. By the way, i'm live in Hispaniola, so I know what I'm telling you.

In reality the name of the island is "Isla de Santo Domingo" or "La Espanola"... Hispaniola was an North American compromise that has stuck in the U.S and now the rest of the english world

I didn't see anything new in this documentary, this market is not even the curter part of our economy, it might be for Haiti, but not for the Dominican Republic; if you realize there are more Haitians in this so called binacional market than Dominicans, it is not true that the market is part of Dominican economy, that is the trick to keep pushing Haitians to the Dominican side, This market is nasty, it is a slum, although, some Dominican sells in the market, Dominican Republic does not need this market, it need to be ruled or closed, there is not a real major benefit for the Dominican Republic, it is for Haiti, this market need to be fixed, ruled or closed. Leonel Agramonte wow vi el video completo. En el minuto 23:55 hasta 24:10 dio un mensaje muy cierto Sin embargo el resto del video es una muestra de nacionalismo patológico. Un mensaje lleno de odio donde se hablan de situaciones sin presentar magnitudes, fechas, ni referencias. La peor parte es cuando dice en 24:13: un salto lógico inmenso que lo único que evidencia la magnitud del prejuicio que tiene el autor del video. En los 25 minutos con 9 segundos que tiene ese video no mencionan el mercado binacional por lo que no encontré la respuesta a la pregunta que le hice . Concluyo por el contenido del video al cual me envió, que usted dijo > con el objetivo de demostrar su animadversión por la presencia de nacionales haitianos en el RD. Es una pena ver este tipo de comentarios que no aportan al diálogo de desarrollo de nuestras naciones.
