A most beautiful documentary. The great singing of those wonderful old hymns together with the very personal experiences of the choir members, makes for a splendid yet very thoughtful hour's viewing.

Bedankt voor dit geweldige document, ik heb genoten van alles, liefde en vreugde, maar ook leed en verdriet komt in dit document mooi na voren, en dan toch de kracht vinden om te mogen geloven in de aller Hoogste ! Veel liederen die ik hoor doen me denken aan vroeger, want ook in ons huiske werd veel gezongen met name Joh de Heer begeleid door het oude traporgeltje, echt mooie tijden waren dat !! Ik wens jullie alle Gods zegen toe, en dat een ieder mag genieten van het zingen ! God zegen !

Absolutely a fantastic film, and at times painfully honest personal stories, Ik was 6 jaar oud een boy sopraan in Lekkerkerk and heb tot vandaag (72) in Koren gezongen Het muziek is great, ik hou veel van Nederlandse Liederen, daar ik genoeg Engels hoor 56 jaar in Canada, was 14 toen we emigreerde, ik sta er soms verbaast van hoeveel liederen/psalmen ik nog in mijn hoofd heb van vroeger. Is de kleinere Soli Deo Gloria ook van het Urker Mannenkoor? It was great to hear, and learn about you,Urk

Feb. 8 2015: thesecond time I wtch this docmentary...especilly becuase it tells of the lone soloist singing the Perly Gates song inthat Paris cathedral which struck me so, then seeinig what turned out to be his lovly wife. I play it often even editing it on line with the second recording video with the bird i the upper left of the screen. which is the coprighted version. I tini the gent name is Hinrick lad i the first run of the song looking rather bored and glowing out his cheek D-E-L-I-G-H-T-F-U-L!! iF YOU FINE SMISPELLED WORKDS IN THIS COMMUNIQUE, IT'S BECAcSE AT 80 MY TYPING IS SLIPPING AND THE SCREEN IS DIVICULT TO READ ACROSS THE ROOM EVEN ON A 40 IIINCH TV [BUMMER!]
