Correction. It wasn't the loss of money. It was the loss of his first wife during childbirth. He was at a revival in St Louis. Recieved a telegram. Found wife still in bed and the baby died 2 days after the mother. That loss is greater than loss of money. This was his turning point from Blues to Gospel!! Amen.
