▶️ DOCUMENTARY: SJS Climate Change Reporting Training for Somali Journalists

▶️ DOCUMENTARY: In #Somalia, due to the compounding effects of widespread conflict and the impact of worsening climate change, including drought and floods, 6.9 million people will need humanitarian assistance as of 2024, and more than 2 million remain displaced, as per #UN humanitarian appeal.
Local communities are ill-prepared for adapting to the impacts of climate change; therefore, public awareness and education on climate issues are needed.
#SJS, in partnership with Medico International, continues to train local journalists and editors - including women journalists from marginalised communities - with skills related to properly reporting on #climatechange and #climate #justice issues to empower communities in Somalia.
