DOCUMENTARY: The story of the first Heavy Metal TV-Show in Germany: HEAVY METAL BATTLE (1985 - 1995)

This is the story of the first Heavy Metal TV-Show in Germany: HEAVY METAL BATTLE (1985 to ca. 1995). The original host and producer of that show, Andreas „Neudi“ Neuderth, is talking about how it all started and about the first issues (1985, 1986) with livebands like Kreator, Atlain, Backwater, Vampyr, Outside or Saints´ Anger. The documentary comes with a ton of rare footage and inside information about the glory days of Heavy Metal and the step into the nineties. This is the first feature about the cult-tv-show HEAVY METAL BATTLE ever! Host Neudi later had a comeback on TV on Streetclip.tv and is currently hosting Der Rockschuppen, the rock-channel of the german company Edel Music.

I asked a longer while ago as well but unfortunately I didn't get any answer. Instead I lost some money to the guy of the KZbin channel "Rare Metal Videos III" who offers the whole video plus a lot of other videos for sale. I only got half a year of excuses and a promise that I'll get back my money, since May I didn't hear anything anymore, so watch out in case you try to get it there as well...

I managed to talk with Neudi on Facebook and he sent me Herald Piller's (the vocalist and guitarist) email. I'll write him today asking for the complete video. If the guy from Rare Metal Videos sends you something, please let me know. I would want to buy it from you.

I really think by now that it is a rip off... the guy really seemed to be very nice, I'm very patient and I understand that a lot of strange things can happen in life but I contacted him in December 2019 and it just got more and more strange. I just have a hard time to imagine that somebody who wants to rip off people offers stuff like Saints Anger and Atlain. I mean, for me it's great stuff, I would love to have it, but I actually don't really think that the market is big enough to make huge amounts of money... However, in case I will ever get anything I would be happy to share it with you without asking for any money. If you want to, you can give me your e-mail address...

@@NeudiTheChannel Ah, ok. Simson sah ziemlich gleich aus, deshalb die Frage. Wirklich interessantes Video. Echte Pionierarbeit, die du da geleistet hast. Sollte es irgendwann mal ein Deutsches Metalmuseum geben, das muss unbedingt mit dazu.
