Years ago I thought the Earl of Wessex was going to end up being the most controversial member of the royal family. Turns out he is one of the least controversial members of the family. I think a big part of that is the fact that he married well. The countess has done well in her role and I think she has been very good for him. They are very fortunate to have found each other. I think the Earl would have made a superb university professor.

Marianne Bonner it wasn't because they thought it was bad, it was because Edward used his royal connections, he only did one documentary that had nothing to do with royalty Edward and Sophie wanted to carry on their careers and not use their royal connections, because they can't make money out of their royal connections, but they carried on with their royal duties too it was a disaster, that how it was known that the sussexes wanting to do the same wouldn't work and l think they will run out of things to talk about too
