Installazione immersiva realizzata da auroraMeccanica con Sebastiano Barbieri e Amplitudo Studio per il Museo Montagna, in occasione della mostra “Hervè Barmasse. Cervino, la montagna leggendaria” .
Uno spazio immersivo che permette ai visitatori di compiere un viaggio tra cinema, fotografia e pittura, ma anche pubblicità e merchandising che negli anni di massima espansione economica hanno reso il Cervino celebre al grande pubblico.
Ma il Cervino non è solo storia, il rapporto tra uomo e natura è quanto mai attuale e le sue pareti esercitano ancora oggi un fascino agonistico indiscusso, per questo le immagini suggestive delle più recenti ascese di Hervé Barmasse si fondono con visual onirici generati con l'utilizzo dell'intelligenza artificiale. Un pretesto per proiettarci nel futuro, per affascinare e sperimentare limiti e potenzialità di uno strumento in rapida evoluzione come l'AI, che oggi vaga tra ricostruzioni immaginifiche di alpinisti e panorami montani ma un giorno potrebbe accompagnarci fin sulla Cresta del Leone.

An immersive space that allows visitors to take a journey through cinema, photography and painting, but also advertising and merchandising that made the Matterhorn famous to the general public in the years of maximum economic expansion.
But the Matterhorn is not just history, the relationship between man and nature is as topical as ever and its walls still exert an undisputed competitive charm today, for this reason the evocative images of Hervé Barmasse's most recent ascents merge with dreamlike visuals generated with the use of artificial intelligence. A pretext to project ourselves into the future, to fascinate and experiment with the limits and potential of a rapidly evolving tool such as AI, which today wanders among imaginative reconstructions of mountaineers and mountain panoramas but could one day accompany us as far as the Cresta del Leone.
