The accoustic guitar becomes a virtuoso instrument in the hands of a player, like this. There are so many of them, I have just found another.

Thank you so much for commenting and sharing! I loved this waltz from the first time I heard it. If you like slow, smooth waltzes, you'll probably enjoy our Tennessee Waltz (kzbin.info/www/bejne/hIOwg6N7e9qNbrs) and Ashokan Farewell (kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqXVmnyeotxgj80). Merry Christmas!

Happy New Year! Thanks for the links, I love those waltzes, too. Old saying in the family...."You can't be a Daugherty if you don't love to waltz..."

So much more beautiful than when I play it. Thank you so much. Maybe this will help me refine my version.

Deb J Thank you so much for your compliment! Feel free to watch it in slow motion and play along. . . it helps with getting all the nuances of a tune. This waltz will be on the Doc Wallace Trio's forthcoming live album, which is now in the final mixing stages; I'll keep you posted about the release.

Canadian fiddler Frankie Rogers actually composed this waltz, but YES, Jay Ungar and Molly Mason perform it and recorded it on their Relax Your Mind album!

Sounds nice. I can just see a floor full of dancers...waiting for the correct tempo for a waltz.😅

Definitely true that Texas fiddlers take waltzes on the slow side, based on our preferred dance tempos. For folks who prefer the up-tempo version, there's no better performance than the original from the composer Frankie Rodgers: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGOsqJ6Jad17f8U
