DocWob on tour at AMA Supercross
We go stateside for this episode of DocWob TV. It's been almost four years since I have been in America, and after nearly 30 years of attending SX, I have never seen one stopped by rain like this one.
In this episode, we take you with us as we wander around the paddock and meet up with old friends, teams and riders whilst dropping off some of our DocWob Titanium hardware. We drop by Ken Roczen and the Hep Suzuki Team, catch up with my old buddy Mitch Payton at Pro Circuit and discuss bike builds. Olly Stone gives us a tour of the TLD / Redbull / Gas Gas race truck. We packed plenty in, and that's all before the racing starts!
There was plenty of talk about VMXdN Foxhill (more on that later). We met up with RV to discuss his bike build before he returns for the event on August 24th -28th.
It was a whistle-stop visit, but we packed plenty in and will be off on our travels again soon.

Its amazing to see all the connections in person and speaking to them, it brings all the stories from the various podcasts to life if that makes sense? Also, there are a million different bike build videos out there BUT a full on Doc Wob bike build with all the trick bits would be the absolute Bollox!!

Just love this wob! Just don’t get to see this type of stuff on any other KZbin mate so thanks for that! Starting to realise I’m a lot more in to the mechanical side of motocross/supercross bikes than just riding. Wish I could get in to being a dirt bike mechanic rather than being a 40 yr old tarmacer!! How about David Bailey’s works bike from the early 80’s. What year was it they entered the production rule, 84, 85, 86 somewhere in there. Anyway David Bailey’s works bike the year before they implemented the new production rule. Those Honda’s were a work of art. Good Luck finding one tho.👍🏼😊

@@docwobtv my real name is James Drew if you’re wondering Doc. I just found your channel this past week. I wish I could’ve found it sooner but it’s never too late, right? I’ve always been interested in works equipment or works bikes. It’s amazing what the manufacturers teams do and come up with for their riders bikes and equipment to get the winning edge over their competitors. I remember MXA did a price breakdown on Mike Kiedrowski Outdoor Nationals Kawasaki SR125 and how much the bike itself cost right after they get it set up to race for the year. It was like near or just over $100 grand. Now this was in the very early 90’s, like 91 or 92. That was a lot of cheddar. How many parts they go through and what each part cost. I can’t remember how much it was but it was a lot. More than I ever expected it to be, but hey if it sold bikes on Monday. Good deal. But like I said. If I could of found you back towards the end of last year, I would’ve kept my 1996 Honda CR250 and turned it into a McGrath works bike. It was my bike ever since I rolled it off the showroom floor in November of 95. I had a lot of money in it already. But thank you for considering my idea of a David Bailey Works bike. I’d be awesome to see it come to fruition.

Titanium is strong but can be brittle, sprocket bolts are under a lot of stress,

Titanium is the wrong choice for bolts. Too expensive and too heavy. 7075 T6 aircraft aluminium is the go
