i like pulling the clipping diodes out and subbing in a 2pdt toggle and slap some leds along with diode clippers on the switch . the leds - if you noon it its a really nice first stage . with metal film resistors and tight tolerances it makes it fairly transparent with the led clippers its very pic sensative , i love the dod250

Nice demo 👍I'm getting ready to breadboard the dod 250 since i have everything for both pedals may experiment with the clipping diodes a bit before i commit to soldering up a pcb.

Got the reissue 250 and love it. The MXR is really growing on me. Tried the mosky lm741 preamp overdrive and was pretty let down by it. Ryan 60ch mentioned some kind of gate of the high end cuts out too early. Haven't been able to dial that out. For a budget 250 the dolamo d-10 mixing boost and the caline white heat do a better job despite being a completely original circuit.

I’ve been curious about the dolamo, I’m a big fan of that brand. Just because for the price they are great pedals for a kid with no money to start with. I have both versions of that mosky and yeah I am not a fan. But apparently they updated that pedal to one in a bigger enclosure that has way more options. It’s in the same line as the mosky big fuzz.

@@googaboogaloo that's the one I'm referring to. I haven't tried the two mini mosky 250 clones. I'd like to try the original one knobber

Headphone jack power?
@googaboogaloo27 күн бұрын
@@endezeichengrimm yes some of the old pedals used what looked like a headphone jack for the power in.
