We took this video to show you how to change the oil on a Dodge Caliber. The one in the video was a 2007 model. However, it is the same procedure for all Dodge Calibers with the 2.0 Engine from 2006-2012. Dodge recommends using 5w-20 oil.
Always make sure that you get the drain plug tight, the oil filter tight and the oil cap.
This procedure should work on:

Very smart rubbing some of the fresh new oil onto the seal of new oil filter! My father taught me to do this 25 years ago, it makes me glad to see that small detail in this video. Good work!

how would it damage the catalytic converter? would it damage other parts too. i realized today whoever did my oil change had it over the safe line a few inches. been 3000 miles since the change. no prob.

I'm no mechanic, but I'm pretty sure that only depends on transmission fluid. Over filling may damage stuff like gaskets, but transmission is a different ballpark.

after changing the oil how do you turn the oil change light of on the instrument panel behind the steering wheel. mine still beeps upon cranking and reads "oil change" the entire time the car is on rather than the mileage

I know Im late to the party here but for anyone that needs it: 1. Turn ignition to the 2nd position (dashboard on, but engine not running) 2. Press the accelerator pedal all the way down three times within 10 seconds 3. Turn the ignition off 4. Start the engine to make sure it worked

Arthur Cuellar You have to turn the key to the on position (engine NOT on though) and then pump the gas pedal 3 times. Then turn key to off position. After that, when you start your car, the oil light and signal should be off
