Thank you for the detailed, direct to the point video! You're one of the FEW KZbinrs who don't have a 45 minute commentary about the weather, or 8 minutes of shots of their dogs/kids. THANK YOU!

4:54 LOL Love it! I came out to my van the other day and the window was gone. I was like WTF???? Turns out something broke in the middle of the night and it literally just fell down. I tried fixing myself but got lazy and just wedged it up with some wood and screws. I know, very professional... HOWEVER, I may get around to actually doing this replacement since it seems the motor and regulator are only like $30. *Thank you for taking the time to make this video!*

Sorry, i have to correct you there, if the window is not operational, you can unscrew the long metal pod attached to the disk, it contains the motor, and you hold it in with your finger and turn it with the other hand, it will bring lower the window manually. The rest of the video is awesome thanks i will probably save 150 dollars :)))

Nice video. Most window regulators are a serious pain to repair

This brings back bad memories! I wouldnt re-use the old fastners, find suitable nylon lock nuts and re-use the old torx bolts. A bear to get back in...i did the same job 3/4 times because the customer kept bringing broken units my hands were cut up! Not a very common car in the Uk extremely hard to get parts for...good luck installing it rich

15 minutes before i did this video i removed the window regulator in a camry and used cord to hold the window up which i will show in the future video.I guess i was a little hot out there in the sun.Tomorrow going to do one trying a 9 volt battery to move the window down.

richpin06a You could take a roll of sellotape and stick it to the glass inside surface half way down, then stretch it over the top of the door rim to the outside window. Its a possible for doors with a top rim/frame ?

There is a easier way to get those out, you spin them around inside the door upside down one at a time and you'll notice the door is cut out to let it slide out bottom end first out the top right of each hole.

Thank you.

richpin06a let me be a little more precise, you flip them inwards towards each other one at a time, aka top left turns clockwise, top right counter, and the bottom ends will slide towards you and up out of the corner of each hole, then straighten it up to gain slack and do the other side, you can repeat it backwards going in, the farthest side out first tends to be the easiest to start with

I think I would rather pound on my knees with a hammer than screw with window regulators. Such a piece of evil engineering I have never seen before. I will however, use a cheap new one to build that chicken coop automatic door with a timer that I have always dreamt of.
