Dodge Challenger Dash Clicking

This clicking just started. It ONLY does it when the middle knob is on the blue dot. This is a known issue with lots of posts all over the internet. This is a 2012 Challenger.

Mine (Challenger 2013) is doing that. The air conditioning stopped working and started blowing hot air. No engine light warning . Now it’s clicking like that. I swear my challenger. It’s always something stupid with this car. I guess I’ll just take the dash apart and spray and clean it. What did you do?

My 2010 Dodge Challenger srt8 would do this but then I replaced my alternator because it went bad and without even trying to fix this problem it fixed itself

I just started getting this noise on my 2011 Challenger. I open the door and I hear this noise even when the car is parked and engine turned off, it comes on randomly! It's really loud.

Same. Mine would do it just by opening the door.

@@pacmanhits probably a slipped gear and you just shut the door too hard one day. Ha..

I got mine replaced and maybe less than a year later it’s stopped blowing heat. Then the rear window defrost light blinks for like a minute

Next thing is the wi Dow will start going. Up and down 1/4 inch then ur battery will be dead next morning.

Nah it still does it. Even when I just open the door it does it. it is kinda like two gears grinding because one gear won't turn? BUT the fix is prolly expensive... This is the best description of the issue... "It could be the air/blend doors in the HVAC system setting themselves. Next time try turning the HVAC system to completely off before starting the car and see if it doesn't happen. Then when you turn the system on, they should cycle, possibly making the noise as they set themselves. Also, by turning the system completely off and then on again, the doors recalibrate themselves often eliminating the noise in future start ups." well if your interested its the air blender actuator about $20-40 on ebay i havent tried yet but once it arrives it look's like you can reach it without taking apart the whole dash

yeah just take off the plastic cover under steering wheel then take off the metal plate your going to need a star bit for the screws but i was in and out in 15 min

Viktar Pisarchyk for the life of me I couldn't get to mine do you think you can do a video oh how you got to it I removed everything and couldn't get to it oh and mine was the one between the radio and steering column

It is totaled now, happened right after I made this video. WARNING! If the lower cowling gets torn off / removed avoid ANY high water! The intake is only like 4 inches above ground so I hit some ankle deep water and my Challenger turned into a shop-vac and hydro-locked the motor. It was totaled and I lost my car and my ass on the deal.

@@jeffparks6089 uh oh. Mine got ripped off a while back. I didn’t read anything about water getting in the engine without it but I can see that happening. Yikes!
