Not allowed to pit. That shit kills a lot of people who aren’t even involved in the pursuit. Cops be picking the wrong times to pit people. Just look at ASP. They pit so many people into civilians that it ain’t even funny. And CHP can chase people on the freeway but can’t chase them through city streets if it’s just a traffic violation. It has to be a major crime like murder suspect or drug suspect. That’s why he terminated the chase when they hit the streets. He wanted to chase him but if he gets caught he can lose his job.

I see you're new to pursuits. I've watched countless chases back when I lived in Kaliforniastan (when Stu would televise them live almost daily) where CHP/LAPD/LACSD would stop pursuing, and the shitbags would keep running and driving recklessly and still crash into people. At least when police have the sirens going, it gives the public a heads up. In a perfect world, nobody would commit crimes, everyone would follow the rules, and life would be "safe" and happy for all. But, unfortunately that's not how it works. If police didn't pursue anyone as soon as they start to run, guess what would happen......people would learn this and everyone would run. And the idiotic statement of "just get their plate and arrest them later" that inevitably follows the "don't engage in pursuits" crowd doesn't work, because then they have to prove who was driving the vehicle at the time. The PIT policy in Kali is mostly ridiculous, but then again they do favor criminal behavior there. On the flip side of that though, doing a high speed PIT on surface streets in many urban/city areas in that state is too dangerous/risky. But, they absolutely could do it in the more rural/less densely populated/trafficked areas, or in light(er) highway traffic.
@Papa_Smurf_71118 күн бұрын
@@drouleauGTFOH! ASP be running into people all the dam time while in pursuit. Most of the idiots on the road don’t pay attention to their mirrors so the cops having their lights and sirens on don’t alert shit if you’re not paying attention to your surroundings. If sirens really did give people a heads up then there wouldn’t be so many idiots sitting in front of ambulances and fire trucks when they have their sirens going.
@drouleau18 күн бұрын
@@Papa_Smurf_711 Yep, ASP "runs into people all the damn time".....the people running, absolutely......innocent people, not so much (and no innocent person has been seriously hurt or killed as a result). As far as people not paying attention, I realize this might be a difficult concept to understand, but for example if some moron is driving through LA and blowing lights at 60-70+ mph and you have your typical idiot behind the wheel not paying attention to what's going on (I saw sooooo many accidents in the 5 years I lived in SoCal because people there are basically retarded)....at least hearing a siren gives them a chance to look around and see what's coming at them. If they still ignore the sirens, then that's their problem. On the highway though, it's a little different....sometimes a driver only has a couple seconds to respond if vehicles are coming at them at twice the speed. I've been in traffic before when a cop was weaving through at 120+ with lights on but no siren, and I didn't see him until he passed me. Now, if someone is camping in the left lane and there's a clear shot between them and a cop coming up like a half mile back....then yeah, they should have plenty of time to react.

Nah you just have Bootlicker mentality and want to give the government power over the people. What crime was committed? They escalated traffic violation into a high speed chase that endangers the public. It’s not worth chasing at that point having 3+ cars going 140+. All it takes is one person not paying attention to cause a wreck. This stretch of 880 is highly busy with lots of bad drivers. The cops are endangering themselves as well. Why risk a state trooper life? Since you care about police lives so much, blue lives matter right?😂 But sure you know more than the state of California huh? Why don’t you go and look at the data from police chases in places they have no limit where Innocent people are dying because the police can’t just let it go in certain states. Arkansas and Georgia state patrol does a good job of catching their suspect but at the cost of innocent people dying (usually the runaway suspect dies too because they cause a wreck). Go look at the data. It’s public information. Get back to me once you educate yourself if you even put in any effort into researching facts. There was no known crime committed for them to continue the pursuit. California does it right. There’s empirical data available from all over the world that proves it’s not worth chasing for this type of “crime”. It’s only worth pursuing active known violent criminals. Not a traffic violation that they instigated and escalated. Sure they may have more than likely been committing some crime but it’s better to let it go for another day. Living a life of crime will catch up to that person one day or another.

So we see lots of parts where they are doing 40-70mph. I’ll bet he hit over 160 a few times and for a few minutes at a time. To get that AVERAGE is staggering. That means he did A LOT of 150+ driving. Wow. Not to mention the fact that he used a lot of fuel. I used 2/5 of a tank, or roughly 8 gallons in about 25 minutes one time in my Magnum. Went about 30 miles. Drive at about 110 for maybe 5+ miles, but it was all the stop sign launches straight to 110-120 that drank the gas. I think I calculated about 3.75mpg, roughly.
