I remember that in the 1980ies when the speed limit in the US was 55 MPH, I once drove my BMW along the 4+4=8 lane A5 south of the Frankfurt Rhein-Main Air Base at a speed of 205 km/h. This made my American passengers almost suffer from a heart attack!

For those wondering how it looks like to be passed at that speed on a highway I will tell you. I was once passed on autobahn by a car going close to 300 km/h. It was so fast that I almost lost control of my car because of the air he was pushing and I didn't even see which car it was.
@rodrigomartinez39372 жыл бұрын
That is bullshit. Not even if you drive a motorbike you're gonna have such issues
@irmenkop852 жыл бұрын
Completely agree. had the same experience on a 2-lane-Autobahn when going 180 kph in an TDI estate and was passed by a Porsche 911 Turbo S in the left lane going close to top speed. Hard to estimate, but for sure quite a bit more than 300 kph. Although I checked the mirros, I saw it coming only in the very last moment. It feels and sounds like being overtaken by a figther jet. And it pushes your own car sideways through the air pressure in front of the car exactly as you describe it.
