I’m 73YO, and I remember these cars sounded like that, bone stock. They came from the factory already cammed up and ready for battle. The original 426 hemi was available in a street version or, if you had the bucks and the connections, you could get one that would rip asphalt for two blocks and not break a sweat. The 426 hemi, the 383, 340, and the 440 were all bad to the bone. As a Chevy guy, I speak this out of respect and admiration from a lot of great memories of great bygone times.

As a Chevy guy myself the classics that Chevy put all seemed to just be beautiful machines. Their exhaust notes, their styling, their handling, they've always had such a refined nature about em. I dream of owning a 67 impala SS in black restored to that level.

I understand your point, but idk, if you've got something like this that's all original or mostly original, you've got a piece of art that will never be replicated. We can make resto-mods are close enough, drive the hell out of those, but something like this should be babied in my opinion.
