Just a few things: The "1968 Charger" in this video is a 1970 Charger. Where is the 1969 Charger? And what about the non U. S. versions?

Dude I know I want one of those little Brazilian Chargers that's actually an American Dart with a little bit of the flying buttress treatment on the rear pillars. I've only heard of them coming with a 340 CID but I don't care.

A lot of people confuse the 70 charger and the 68 charge the main difference is the tail lights

A lot of the muscle car titles changed a lot in the 80's to something else but at least they have tons of potential to reach sleeper car status with an engine swap with more.

A four door car is not a real Dodge Charger no matter what they say. Part of what’s wrong with the auto industry these days is they have turned their back on tradition

The current charger ran 2015-current. After 2006-2010 you didn't mention the 2011-2014. Those share the same platform as 2015 and up with a different styling design on outside, electronically and the interior very few visual changes almost identical.

Great history here. Had a '69 383 mag, 727 and sure grip in the late '70s. 500 should have mentioned the flush rear glass. Less drag.

Does the Charger Daytona share any parts with the Plymouth Super Bee? I think there were like cousin cars. Watching in Ireland where I'm not familiar with most of these cars
@MRKchallenger
@MRKchallenger 5 жыл бұрын
Plymouth had the Superbird. In case of parts: yes and no. Daytona based on the Charger and the Superbird based on the Roadrunner. Same platform/body but different style. So in case of body parts you can see many differences. These two uses the same engine, suspension, transmission etc. parts under the ownership of Chrysler.
@TA_Plus_Hemi

MRKchallenger is right but also do not be confused the Plymouth called their 440 CID the Super Commando engine where are Dodges engine carried the Magnum name but they were the same engine. Also the Charger Daytona was originally made where it was not a streetable car per se. They had ventilation problems for the engine due to the tiny Grille which was rectified a year later when they built the Superbird to lure The King back to racing for Chrysler. So if you ever notice the first model year of Charger Daytona has a smaller than the first Superbird that is why, because they were overheating at stop lights and such. Also right in between the Charger and Charger Daytona you also have the Charger 500 which also was a racing variant that did not employee the cone or wing. I don't know if that was covered by this video I'm only at 3:01
