The motor in this car is garbage i owned one i put 400 to 460mi every 2 weeks it had barely any oil i also own a 1975 vw van this goes through more oil and don't get me started on the transmission forgot to say it was brand new under 10k miles

I own a 2016 se model with the 2.0 l engine going on 70,000 miles zero problems bought it with 30,000 miles it's extremely reliable never had any issues great gas mileage too i average between 35 mpgs to 37 mpgs i admit definitely needs more power but looks great reliable and love the mpgs i would definitely recommend it to anyone Every fca vehicle I've owned has been reliable

I had the 2013 Ralley, and I loved it. My husband had a medical emergency, and I had to sell it to stay afloat. That car was an all time favorite for me, but very sluggish on takeoff. Now I have a used 2014 GT, and it rode perfect when I purchased it. But between the roads and highways in Mohave County AZ, and a detour that had a whole lot of people driving washed out desert dirt roads during monsoon season, that changed. I pretty much replaced everything in the frontend suspension, and I had to actually replace the motor mounts twice. And a few months since replacing those, the rearend is getting sloppy. The ride is suddenly rough, and I am hearing a rear bearing starting to whine. So, pretty much. I think that I threw money at it, and now that I ran out of money, I am going to have to throw more money at it. If it weren't for those issues, I love the GT more than the Ralley, because it actually has the pickup that I appreciate on takeoff. And this one has some amenities that the Ralley lacked. As I understood it, I was pretty sure that Dodge had a R/T model that they were planning on adding a V6 engine to, and add a hatchback option. But because of the sales slump that decided them to discontinue the Dart, the idea was scrapped.

In August of 2013 we bought a dart with 21,000 kms on it,we now have almost 469,000 kms on it, no major problems with it,drive train is original,only replaced brakes, rotors,rear wheel bearings,heater motor and tires! It's a great car for us and I wouldn't hesitate to go from n.s. to b.c. and back to n.s. tomorrow,yes bring it back!

I have a 2015 "GT that rides rough" lol, well they do have stiffer suspension and almost 18" Run flat tires on a HEAVY vehicle so yeah they ride a little rougher, and that kick when shifting is what we used to call a shift kit, who wants a CVT transmission in a GT? I think they ride and drive great for a so called compact car.

I own a 2015 GT. Have done a lot of work on it and I love it, but I understand why it's gone and I'm not sure I'd trust the new Chrysler if they brought it back. I mean, pretty soon we won't even be calling them Chrysler anymore. The AWD idea was a dream of many, but I don't think it was ever something they were seriously pursuing.

@@Natethegreat200c only difference is that the Chrysler 200C and the Dodge Dart have different size wheel bases, about a 2 inch difference which would have forced FCA to do a redesign of the driveshaft just for a single car in their line up, the Dodge Dart.

I own a 2015 SXT, its got over 165,000 miles on it 😭 it was high mileage when i got it, but now i drive 80 miles round trip 5 days a week for work, i hate that, but this car hasnt let me down. I think if they bring it back, it should be fully electric. Or maybe a hybrid. But definitely they should take their time. My one observation is the shifting is temperamental at times, and it makes me wonder what if theyd waited until that 9-speed was ready 🤔

i had a 2013 gt model that was loaded. hedder orange color. never had a problem with it . sharp well put together car. heated seats and steering wheel. lot more options than this model. moon roof and cd player. leather interior. now if you want a dodge sedan you have to get a charger or chalenger. starting at probably $35,000-$74,000. this had all the extra's for about $26,000. options that came on more expensive cars.

YES - Bring back the Dart but without the over rated ridiculous 1.4 Italian 1.4 turbo as crappy engine - pretty much all Italian. 2.0/2.4 and borrow the 3.2 V-6 from the Jeep Cherokee for the GT as the 3.2 tied to a manual 6-speed would be almost a dream come true..... 🙂

They should have just put the pentastar 3.6 in the dart,as an upper trim or gt model. Mated with a 6 speed manual. The 3,200lbs was around the same weight as the Nissan Sentra se-r back then with 200hp. Or..put a turbo on the 2.0 liter that was the most reliable of engines offered for the Dart.kind of reminds me when the fiero came out initially. it was built for fuel economy but looked fast

I have a 2014 GT 6 speed. The transmission is great until it's not. My last repair was $4500. I've loved this car, but it is stupid expensive to fix out of warranty. Trading it for a Challenger.

Sucks they are getting rid of cars in general. Those I always thought looked cool but they needed a srt-4 version with a turbo. The cars would’ve sold like hot cakes because unlike the neon the dart had style. Only problem is I heard those and the Chrysler 200 are very very unreliable. The auto trans they used could handle the 4 cyl power a little bit but with but with the little bit more power of the bigger engine the trans couldn’t make it to far. Not sure if the 16 still used that trans. But a manual and turbocharged engine you would’ve had one little fun car.

There is a lot of hate on this car. Because its a dodge. But what they dont know is that its a great reliable car. Very underpowered but sounds and looks great. Also with that gt hood you can change it out to be a real intake. I think if they would have added the v6 rwd or awd would have been amazing car to drive

Great daily car that is very reliable with decent aftermarket if you're looking to mod and make it a project. I have the 2016 SE 2.0L and it has been good to me for the 35k miles I have on it so far. I have done a few mods to it but It definitely has potential as both a good Everyday sedan and as a performance car

We have a 2016 rally that looks almost identical to the one here, since new, so far so good, the first three years of payments sucked when we were financed through Chrysler Capital, but after three years we were finally able to get it refinance. We're hoping to get some use out of it after it's paid for. All in all we're satisfied with the car.

They can’t figure out what it is & the told her there’s no point of buying a new engine because it’s going to happen again. Sad thing is my mom stayed on top of maintenance. The 2.0/2.4 can go 300,000 mile+ easily vs. the 1.4 turbo - have doubts about it even making 100,000 without lots of $$$ in repairs involved. I have owned 3 starting with a 2013 SE Basic w/manual and will only buy in manual & manual only. Currently have a 2014 GT and 2015 SXT - both manual 6-speed of course.

@@Shaybaeasf The GT has been working great since I got it! If I could find a twin to it - would probably purchase another. In my opinion the "root cause" of bad things is bad technicians as well as owner's who thing they have a 67 Shelby GT 500 or similar in their mind - they do not. If you are looking @ one and do not know the dealership but do know of a really good HONEST mechanic - worth having them check it out first before purchasing. Mine came from an extremely honest dealer who makes sure what gets sold is "up to snuff" if you follow me.

Honestly, if they would of came out with decent scat pack upgrades for the 2.4l like a ECU flash, cam, head upgrade, intake manifold upgrade, to go with the suspension brake and exhaust/intake scat parts that they did do, and if they would of did the AWD SRT4 dart with a 2.0lT or 2.4lT that got around 350whp then they would have saved it.

I’ve had a couple issues out of mine, I have a 2014 GT with 30k miles. Multiple recalls and for some reason I can’t get the alignment done correctly, my tires are getting eaten. Plus the lack of spare tire is no good, the run flat is definitely not logical.

GTs didn't come with that hood. it's aftermarket from modern performance. i bought my 15 GT with 3 miles in 2015. it's "blacktop edition" but when i was choosing options those hoods weren't available. also automatics weren't sold unless they were ordered for the GT. All GTs came in manual.

great. get a 2.0 with the 6 speed with the touch screen and camera and your set. dont get the 1.4 turbo. you'll have change clutches for the manual(normal) , and the DDC is too high tech. if you want the most reliable dart possible get the 2.0

The darts and really all new 4 cylinders have a loud clatter by nature because it’s a 4 cyl with a lot of tech for fuel economy plus emissions. I hate the sounds of modern 4 cylinders too. Wheel bearings is an issue for the darts I’ve heard that before. And lmaoooooo the breaks and oil change are two things that are completely driven control ( how much you drive it determine how often u change the oil) and if you drive like a jack ass like me, you replace breaks a lot. Considering you have a scat I think u drive like me 😭😭😭😭.

So far the fastest 2.4l I've seen is a bolt on turbocharged one with 290some whp And the 1.4l is shared through alot of fiats so there is a 1.4l dart with 300some whp

Wow. I just sold my 2010 Caliber to CarMax due to transmission failure at 111K miles (cvt became extremely unstable, lot of jerks and slipping) and have a 2016 dart with 32K miles on the way. The Caliber was great until it started falling apart, then it was just a nightmare to own.
