2018 dodge durango 53k miles same hose broke $250 heater hose assembly,$1100 dealer labor, I was able to make two part heater hose 1/2 inch one end 5/8 inch other side total cost $8 , I was able to replace it without taking anything apart location is against the firewall hard to reach but duable, Make sure to open bleeder hole on water pump 5/16 when adding coolant . Was it leak under the transmission? My dodge is a 2021 with less than 19,000 miles and it's leaking a lot. Do you have another video of where the leak was.

I didn't remove anything heater hose is hard to get but is reachable.

@@MultiPartizan1 I’m sure you could reach without removing the wipers and the motors but it’s way easier and it doesn’t even take that long to take it off

19 RT here Durango it started around 90k or 100k I forget which for me but yea it isn’t bad but slow leak of coolant other that it’s been very reliable has over 100k now

I’m sure you can. You can by pass by removing the hoses that go to the heater. Connect both of the inlet and outlet with a big hose together. They on each side on the engine.

@@MultiPartizan1 we cannot get our hands in there are get to clamps to get hose out, considering getting a special long pair of clamp pliers or calbe release clamps, any ideas?? frustrating as hell, dont want to remove all that, just have a slit in the small heater hose extension it looks like. wish u were in dallas Manny!

poor design. that square plastic separation part is unneeded. just replace that big broken plastic square with a single hose run from point A to point B w/o the divider where the break occurred. at time 1:10 that metal "Y" shaped pipe - on my truck, that part is plastic and cracked. I replaced it 10 yrs. ago with a metal "Y" and had no issues since.
