I will say I bought a used fully loaded 5.7 L jeep grand Cherokee Limited. When I bought it had 60,000 miles on it. I sold it with 205,000 miles eight years later. I never had a mechanical breakdown on the motor. Not even A water pump or anything to do with the motor or transmission. Mind you this thing was fully loaded. 4 Wheel Dr tow package kit. I did have sensors go bad, but never a mechanical breakdown.

If they priced those Hornets at like 20 to 25K they would probably sell like hotcakes, But Greed is Greed. Worst thing they did to kill thier dealerships is made all the Trailhawks hybrids and got rid of all the V-8's. That and the greed killed thier business. I was ready to buy a 2025 Grand Cherokee with the new Hurricane engine, but now I heard they are going to use the 4-cylinder turbo, yeah thanks but no thanks I'm not moving from a V-6 down to a 4 Cylinder. I am over 60 years old. I have NEVER bought a New vehicle in my life, Because they have never been worth the Full price they were asking for it. And just fyi.... Every car and truck I have ever purchased in my life ( Used) , I have sold that car for the same price I paid for it, Or I made money on it. Just in the past 2 years, I sold my 2008 Corvette (Paid 18,000 for it.) Sold it for 23,0000. And I just sold a 2011 Chevy 2500 pick up truck (Paid 9,000 for it.) Sold it for 11,000 dollars. Don't be dumb, And buy a new car. They just are not worth the money.

Had I sold my vette. 6 months earlier, I would have only got 18,000 to 20,000 for it. As it was,The dealership I sold it to. Turned around and Listed it for sale for 32,000...!!! It is just the nature of the used car market right now.

So, Used car prices started going crazy. As it was, The dealership I sold my car to for 23,000 , Turned around and listed my Corvette for 32, 000 dollars the very next week. It has settled down some since then, But not much. used cars are still in demand, So if you have one to trade in for a new car, You may want to check how much you can get if you were to Sale it out right, As opposed to "Trading it in"

Even with less than 150 miles on the car they refused to fix it. From now on it's only Toyota for us, they can keep the trash they have for sale.

The days of long ago( 5 years ago) when a truck could be bought for $45000, now, nearly identical truck is $75000……. That’s $7000 a year increase, more than 10 percent a year increase…., and the 2018 truck was more reliable than new ones today. If only everyone stopped buying for next year, starting today……..every manufacturer would be forced to cut prices 30-40 percent minimum.

The costs for anything in our country is so out of control. it has to stop. Engine life can be taken care of by more frequent oil changes.. Turbo engines run hotter along with Superchargers, yea the boost can affect longevity, change oil/filter every 4k-5k miles with quality synthetic oil and filter. Some car manuf. say 7k or 10k oil changes, LOL. And some people will do that, but the manufacturer knows issues will occur after warranty is up, sell more new cars is what it is about.

There's a video where a mechanic has a Ford F-150 with a turbo and did the oil changes every 12,000 kilometers as per the manufacturer's recommendations. The turbo was ruined, as it showed a lot of sludge in it. This is what they want; throw it out and get another one, since the repair costs would be expensive.

My old mechanic who retired said "that by 2036, the manufacturer won't have to release any information on right to repair". So mechanics won't have the knowledge to fix newer versions of vehicles. Manufacturer's are getting greedy and will force new cars to be repaired at dealerships only. So they will be fixing older cars only that they have the tools and the knowledge to fix. I only have 2 mechanics left that will touch my vehicles that were made before 2010. They warned me to be cautious on what I buy next. Certain vehicles require tools that modern mechanics either can't afford or don't have a way to obtain because of limitations to right to repair.

Window tint only costs a couple hundred dollars, and it's one of the few things with which a factory warranty doesn't matter.

The board of directors at every auto manufacturer must fire everyone in leadership positions -- period. When you are selling vehicles from $70-129K and the median household income is $75K, then it should not take long to figure out your vehicles are too expensive. The overwhelming majority of people can only afford a vehicle that costs $10-20K, not $70-120K. Electric is a joke. They must be niche only. Fire everyone involved and build cars people can afford.

In bankruptcy they can void union agreements, other agreements with suppliers, and can leverage losing jobs with political leaders.
