I really need some help. I have a 2012 Dodge Journey SXT. It will start but won't idle. We got the miss fire code changed the O2 sensors, spark plugs & coils, crank sensors, & a new battery. We have no lights on dashboard but we push the gas pedal & it won't go past 3000 RPMs. Do we need to change the throttle control sensor? Please help & answer.

I wish you did it with a 2011 and up Dodge Charger because it has 3 screws and 2 are hard to get to

So would this be a reason the rpm jumps a little even when I take my foot off the accelerator? I would even feel the car jumping a little bit too like it jumps when I try to get up to speed only on the freeway

I have a P2127 code right now. While I can still get gas to the engine, I don't think it will be long until it doesn't work anymore. I'm gonna try and do this. Thanks guys! Edit: Turned out to be my catalytic converter.

I replaced mine but when I start it after about 1 second of starting it revs to 3 RPM and stays there until I shut it off. I hooked the scanner back up and says it’s the same thing even after rescanning… what do I do now

I had a code that said throttle pedal and switched it and it revealed up....I looked and no answer it was working fine so switched it anyway so when this happened I installed the older one and it worked fine so I'm guessing I got a bad one or a part for another car....I did notice that in the so called new one the connector didn't go all the way down no matter how much pressure I applied...so I don't know 😂😂 for now I'm driving with the old one cus it works

Warning: Dodge journey is a total POS. Battery behind driver side wheel. Fuel filter INSIDE of the Fuel pump now the Throttle position sensor is INSIDE of the gas pedal? Kill me.

Installed The gas pedal and now I start the car release the break and it goes wide-open throttle or at least 3/4 so I have no longer any gas pedal only brake release and apply has anybody else had this problem…?

You have to reprogram the computer. Can’t just replace the pedal.

Yep you can completely unplug it and it will start BUT "it will only idle".
