Everything that the Dart wasn't... A true compact economy car, with a nice low price. It's basic transportation, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's dimensions are squarely compact, and has the corresponding curb weight. The Dart failed as a compact car because it was too large, and much to heavy. Selling this in America would be fairly easy; 1.3 turbo as the standard mill (177hp, 210 lb-ft) would make this a fun car to drive... An SRT4 with the Hurricane 2.0t (270hp, 295lb-ft) would enable this Neon to actually fit Dodges muscle car persona; it would be quite a fast car for very little money. I know cars aren't selling well anymore, but part of that problem is that most American (CARS) were/are pretty blah. Not much more than an appliance- so can't blame people for looking at other segments. Cars that are different seem to do better. A new Neon may do the trick; contrary to the haters that likely never owned a Neon, many look upon that name plate fondly. I know I do- it only took one 96' Dodge Neon ACR for me... My first new car- it was autocrossed quite regularly. Nothing in it's class could come close to it's performance, it's 150hp DOHC 420a was a fast-revving motor that pulled like a cat on crack all the way to 7500 rpm. It sounded great doing it too. But where the ACR really raped it's competition was when the roads got twisty.. Neons had incredible cornering ability- it was not an uncommon sight to see one picking up it's inside rear tire off the road surface in high speed cornering maneuvers. The amount of grip these little things could generate on stock rubber with it's 14" rims truly was a thing to behold. These cheap $11k economy cars could embarrass Corvettes, or really any number of high performance sports cars on a tight road course. Sure, in a straight line these cars were good for a low 7 sec 0-60, and with practice could reliably hit 15 flat in the 1/4 mile; they couldn't compete for brute power and acceleration, but road courses were a different story. ACR's not only had the grip, and amazing suspension dynamics- ACR's communicated everything to the driver via a very connected to the road experience. Communicative steering, and a 5 speed gear box that felt like a Swiss watch. The interior was cheap, but the seats were comfortable, and the deep bolsters held you in place. So I would love to see a proper revival of this car in the US.

repair or maintenance compare to elantra car is it expensive or same ?
@Autoamused6 ай бұрын
Slightly more . I am talking about company maintenance, if you do from outside the dealership it may be less. Also as its American the maintenance is a bit expensive compared to Japanese or Korean cars like Honda and Hyundai. But its worth it.

Hi I use pink coolant for mine. You can check your owners manual or consult your dealership or workshop where you get your car serviced.

I'm thinking of buying a used one. 2018 model with only 63,000 km. Should I be concerned about it for any particular issue? How's your long term review and experience?
@Autoamused2 жыл бұрын
As far as my personal experience is concerned it's a great car especially for a daily driving family car. There are no major issues that I have faced moreover its very comfortable and fuel efficient.
