Hint: To make this job a whole lot easier. jack the front, remove the wheel and the inner fender. Takes a few minutes and provides direct access to all plugs, both sides. Be sure to use jack stands far safety.

My dad bought my family a Code Scanner I just hook it right up underneath my steering wheel in my 04 Ram 1500 Laramie saved me hundreds of dollars when a check engine comes on instead of taking it to dealership or a mechanic I just had to replace the EGR valve two days ago only cost me $55 at the auto parts store took about 20-30 mins one csuse it was hot as hell from me driving it over there so all the bolts were hot as shit and we are slow sometimes lol but man I’m telling you what watching KZbin videos like this and learning how to fix your own car you’ll save so much money in the long wrong

That little thing right there doesn't provide a high voltage, but it does have a high voltage passing thru it, which in essence creates a dead short, spark, between both electrodes at the tip. The engine's voltage is provided by it's alternator, and it's high voltage is provided by it's coil, which then goes to the distributor to be distributed thru the wires to the spark plugs

I do have over 49 videos I haven't even edited so give me at least two days to go through them. I never realized when I did this one that is would be a vital mistake not to actually show it 😑

Very good video. THANKS! 16 plugs?! Why?
@BEARDEDHANDYMAN3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching my video and I hope you subscribed for further videos. Yes 2 plugs per cylinder. The reason behind it to my knowledge Dodge wanted a better combustion hemi engine and for emmsion purposes because having just 8 created more high content fumes in exhaust and unburned fuel since it is a hemispherical engine.

What do you mean gap it ?
@BEARDEDHANDYMAN3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching my video and hope you became a subscriber. Even though when you buy spark plugs, supposedly they are to be gapped out out box with vehicle manufacturers recommendation, but they are not in every case. If they are not gapped properly it will not give you proper ignition spark to combust engine properly. Ensure to ask w u what's the gap when you buy them

Not sure what's the problem or what your trying get at? This video is old and I don't recall everything in video. 1.5 hours to long or two short? Everyone works on their own pace. If I said .045 gap, it came straight from the book. If your an actual ASE certified mechanic your more then welcome to tell me how many hours your book says to charge and spec. Thank you for watching my video though 👍
