I have a 06 2500 single cab wit a 8 foot bed but I’m trying to put a 8 footer 3500 dually bed of a 09 would it work?

What is the real difference between a 2500 and a 3500 rear? An adapter?

Same axle manufacturer, higher gearing, either spacer or wider axle, wider brakes . Bearings, axle shaft sizes, pinion size all the same

I ended up going with 2.5" on the axle, but that is because I am running the bigger/wider tires.

That is just lying to yourself adding adapter’s doesn’t make it a dully it’s a 2500 still all your doin is weighing the truck down you need the bigger dully dif to with the proper gearing to make up for the extra weight your adding

I have a 18’ Ram 3500 with the Aisin trans.. if I add the adapters it’s just adding weight? I’m interested in this conversion but want a flatbed knstead

@@omarpadilla7674 2 more wheels and tires are definitely more weight, but nothing the ol’ Cummins can’t handle. Plus added width adds more stability towing.

Both DRW and SRW 3500 use the 11.5 AAM axle. Stop talking without having some knowledge about what you're talking about.
