Well, they are somewhat brothers considering that Cell does have Goku's DNA in him. Heck, that might be why Cell is surprisingly nice to him. Cell seems to have a soft spot for the weakest member a group of people, considering that he was genuinely nice to Yamcha. Since Raditz is the weakest guy in HFIL and they are technically closely related, Cell seems to be genuinely chill with him.

@@ReikuYin well, Cell is stronger than Vegeta and Frieza and he enjoys antagonizing them. So no. Cell seems to only show sympathy towards the weakest member of a group of people. He was sympathetic and nice towards Yamcha who was definitely the weakest fighter at the Cell games (except Mr. Satan, but he annoyed Cell). Cell has been friendly and chill towards Raditz who is definitely the weakest villain in HFIL (Cell and Zarbon seem to get along as well, but that seems to be due to them appreciating each other's handsome looks and sexual energy). Cell and Raditz are starting to kind of act like brothers with each other (might be due to them being related). And in this episode, Cell actually took Raditz's advice seriously at the end of the episode.

@@psychonaut175 Cell doesn’t even know how strong Raditz is though right? They all have their true power levels suppressed and Cell has no knowledge of Raditz prior to HFIL. I think it’s more that Cell just generally isn’t that evil anymore. He wanted the fight of his life and got it with Gohan, and he doesn’t even seem to hold anything against Gohan in the afterlife. The only person who he’s openly antagonistic towards is Frieza, who started their feud. It’s also possible that the HFIL therapy is actually successfully reforming him. Look at what it did to Raditz, assuming TFS is keeping his DBZA depiction canon in this universe.

Most of the things he says aren't even petty insults, they're just brutal truths and it's stunning to watch. Also Cell getting a little redemption arc and actually trying to be a better person to get out of HFIL is awesome and really wholesome. The notion that Cell is gonna actually do the good place method of getting out of HFIL is a recipe for hilarity on it's own, but pissing Frieza off to the nth degree at the same time whilst effectively dissecting his character is a stroke of genius. The fact that the branches from the main abridged series can lead to such comedy gold is heartwarming in of itself, they can still give us content from the show we love in a way that they love doing. @Gucci Crimson What I mean is the Z films ended with Wrath of the Dragon initially and Frieza only returned in Fusion Reborn. Once the newer batch started coming out we got one more Z movie, Battle of Gods. Frieza doesn't return in that either. When he does return, that movie is listed as a Super movie, not a Z one. Therefore technically at no point is Frieza stronger than he was after death in the Z movies, only in Super

i really like this whole setting tbh, it renders all the villains powerless meaning the ones who thirst for the most control, so, frieza, have 0 ways to act on it and it makes them go insane, especially when previously they *did* have that type of power and control. it really shows how messed up they are as people and how incapable they are of conflict resolution w/o using brute force or how incapable and shitty they are in social settings in general. this is why king cold has more power in hfil, bc he knows how to play his social cards right, but frieza never had to. he just killed everyone who disagreed with him, but now he cant, and it really shows just how deranged he is if he were just like. a normal guy whos not all powerful.
