I’ve been watching pitchers since the 60s and have never seen a pitcher with such an efficient and beautiful delivery as Yamamoto’s. the first inning I saw him pitch I knew he would be someone special. We’re talking Kershaw kind of good and Yoshi has the potential to be even better. What a fabulous signing!

I generally hate walk-up songs but Teo hit his out of the park with is, along with the baseballs. I had to find out what this was and listen to it on my own don;t understand the words but what an inspirational song! Thanks Teo!

Another real nice performance from Stone tonight. I’ve been saying since spring training he’s our 3rd best starter and he has been, and only because we have Glasnow and Yamamoto. I even wondered if Yoshi was ahead of Gavin given the adjustments he faced, but he definitely is and maybe even our ace as he continues to build experience. A nice top 3 though to be sure.

Speaking of the Marlins, you may remember Eliezer Hernandez who was a starter for them for a few years, not a good one though with a career 5.04 ERA over 48 starts. He’s pitching for OKC this year and is 4-1 with a 2.83 ERA. Yeah, this is in the minors, but so far he’s been OKC’s best starter and while we need to see him keep this going he may be figuring things out more and may get a shot at the big show again, especially with the way our pitchers are going down. With the pitching being so good lately, we might have the best pitching staff othat are currently injured at the same time of all time. Actually I don’t think there’s any doubt. We’ve got a starting rotation of Ohtani, Kershaw, Miller, May, and Gonsolin. In the pen we have Sheehan, Phillips,, Brasier, Graterol, Kelly, and Hurt. That’s some pitching staff.

All Kershaw has done so far is have the best ERA of all time among those who have thrown as many innings. It’s one thing to do that for a few seasons but Kersh has done this over a long career. Can Yamamoto top that? He might. We may end up having the two best Dodgers of al time on the roster now, when it’s all said and done, both from Japan. These are exciting times as we watch this story begin.

Austin Gauthier just got promoted to OKC after an impressive start with Tulsa. So far in OKC, 5/11 with 2 doubles and a HR. Gauthier is still only 25and is starting to really make some noise. While Gauthier is a SS he’s playing the outfield for OKC, so the question is, do we have any players like this on the team, Swiss Army knife maybe and one that the blades are all seized up? He’s and some other guys are coming for you CT.

People keep suggesting that only the post season matters not the regular season, and while everyone’s entitled to their own views, this completely misses the point of the game. I don’t know about you but I watch baseball a the Dodgers to be entertained. This isn’t a job for us and that’’s the only reason why we watch actually. I don’t need.to apologize when I say that I find the regular season pretty entertaining. This play lately, when the Dodgers do well, is especially entertaining. It’s even more entertaining to win playoff series, and particularly disappointing when you don’t, bit this can’t take away from the enjoyment we have when the team wins a series, even ones in the regular season. The playoffs really are a crapshoot and the current format stacks the deck against the top 2 seeds, who have yet to win a series. While.I fear this may happen again this year, I’m looking forward to us taking another shot at it, and won’t consider the season a waste if we lose the DL again.

Just to clarify, I meant the top 2 seeds in the NL, the best 2 teams clearly over the last 2 years, the Dodgers and Braves. That week off weighs heavy, and I have a lot bigger gripe with the format than the play of the Dodgers, falling flat on their face after being pushed to the ground by MLB. I’d rather see 2 more teaks make the playoffs and then everyone gets to participate in the first round, so you don’t pay a prtce to finish at the top. If we end up the #3 seed, that’s the next best thing, and I’d much rather take our chances with taking on a wid card team in a 5 game series under the same conditions so that the thing will tilt our way. If we then lose, this time the team will be fully to blame.
