Walker Buehler played for the king of high schools in his hometown; then, he played at the top college baseball program; and now he's with the best Major League club. He was a consummate professional when I saw him pitch for Vanderbilt, and he's now ready to become the perfect role model for young baseball fans. Hopefully, Jordan Sheffield can give the Dodgers a second Commodore on the 26-man roster. As expected coming from a Dodgers' production, this was an A+ feature. For those of us that bleed blue, we anxiously await more.

Besides Buehler and Price, Mookie is a Nashvillian, having played at Overton High School in the Oak Hills area, and Max Muncy was a crowd favorite when he played for the Nashville Sounds. If your good at Pitching Joe. Work on it. I knew a guy at my High School , who wanted to be Quarterback/Pitcher/Basketball guard. He was real good at all 3 sports. Then, he got hurt in Football as a QB. It ruined his pitching arm. He never was drafted. Pitchers that are good in Baseball get brought up to the Bigs real fast. If you have the potential, save yourself for Baseball. I wish that my friend would have just pitched, but the choice is yours. Good Luck.

He can be a great pitcher but needs to become more mature on the mound. He seems to have great trouble when pitches are not called the way he sees it. It eats at him between pitches. He shows frustation on the mound and i dont think this helps him. He needs to learn how to control his emotions and not let that become a factor in his success like it has in many starts in the majors so far. Usually u can tell early if he is ok with what the umpire is calling and if he is going to have a good game and go deep.. If he doesnt like what blue is calling he seems to let his emotions get the better of him . He also seems to pitch a lot better at home field rather than away at least in the majors. This needs to be addressed and is a reason why he pitched first in the world series at home. Or we would of pitched Ryu first and saved him for later. Time will tell if its just a maturity factor or just the way he is... Hopefully its not mental and he can adjust. Good luck Walker. The opportunity is yours..
