This was so heartwarming. I had no idea. I don't typically watch baseball but when the playoffs started this year I dove in and immediately I remembered how much I enjoyed watching baseball over the years. I instantly became a Shohei fan and have very much enjoyed learning about all of his success with both pitching and hitting. I must say that watching Dave at the games I knew right away there was something special about him and I knew that I liked him as a person. After watching this story it confirms in my heart that Dave is one of those "one in a million" human beings. Just an absolute joy to be around, a wonderful Father and Husband and a great coach. Wow, what a great story! Thank you so much.

Watching how the Dodgers run their organization from the top down, the kind of players they bring into the organization (winners and great men), to the kind of managers they hire; has made me a Dodger fan! I want to support and root for a team that will do whatever it takes to win Championships and do it the right way! The club has created a culture of winning and excellence and I want to learn from that. As a lifelong Ohioan and Reds fan growing up...there is a clear and distinct difference between how the clubs are run. I'm proud to say I am a Dodger fan. Long long long time Red Sox fan! Dave Robert’s made me this way. Never missed a game in 04 on tv and drive to them when possible. He was a special talent as a player and even more special as a person! Cancer should have k own better than to knock on Dave’s door!!!! I know follow the dodgers daily, but still love my bo Sox🤷‍♂️

imo he has always been a great coach. Sadly baseball is a high-leverage sport; even for the better coaches, you still never know which decision they make will lead to fiasco, and when they fail they look really bad all of a sudden. Like who could expect Kevin Cash, as good as he is, would do that in Game 6.

Ive said it before and I’ll say it again. They just don’t come any more of a Class Act than Dave Roberts. I had no idea he battled cancer and I always said so. Now I have even more respect for him. What a beautiful Family he has as well.
