Yup. Shows knowing how to play can be much more important, than being a great athlete. Look at James Outman. He would beat Miggy on every strength, and speed test, but look where he is.

True team effort by the Dodgers today after their current staff ace Glasnow didn't have his best stuff going into this game. Bullpen battled and the offense kept hanging around until they finally broke through in a BIG way in extras and it was well-earned indeed. Rojas has pretty much become the main 'glue' guy of the team this season. How far the Dodgers can go will largely depend on how well his work rate is managed, but for now he's their guy at SS even after Betts returns from the IL in a couple months. Glad Will Smith finally came around in this one, knew it was just a matter of time anyway. Homeplate ump near coughed this one up with that blown foul ball call off Ramos' foot in extras that ended up loading the bases with 1 out, but the baseball gods apparently had enough of MLB's increasingly disrespectful approach to our national pastime and stepped in to restore balance for once!
@denicerenee19704 ай бұрын
Dodgers radio stations doesn't come in as I'm driving over the road so I had to get on the Giants broadcast and the announcers are not professional. I don't hear Dodger announcers bagging on players from other teams but they were bagging on Glasnow saying he wasn't durable. Too bad their pitchers didn't seem very durable at the end there. 😆✌️

How come Kody Hoese isn’t considered an option at 3rd base? He was a 1st round draft pick and a natural 3rd baseman. He’s hitting .300 and has power. I love Kiké but there isn’t anyone on the current roster that has shown they could handle the hot corner.
@PeekaPeep4 ай бұрын
Miguel Vargas also has considerable 3B experience and is still the best all-around hitter they have out of that group (Hoese included). Dodgers gonna need to come to a decision with this kid between now and this upcoming trade deadline because they're starting to stunt his development in the bigs right now. I prefer they keep him around and plug him at 3B those first 6 innings (Hernandez can take over late for defensive purposes) until Muncy finally returns from the IL. Biggio sure has not been making many friends on this club since coming over from the Blue Jays and I'll be shocked if he isn't sent right down to AAA or Instructional League (for possible mound conversion as a "last-ditch" effort?) sometime within these next few days. Besides, Dodgers have a switch-hitting INF prospect currently down at AA Tulsa who's showing a lot more promise than Craig's son ever did and continues to get the job done (Alex Freeland). Keep your eye on him as well, he's gonna be a nice one for the club IF they hold on to him....
