Mahomes made all of the difference in this game, 12\12 on 3rd down…it’s hard to lose when you play that good Especially at 2:36, he turned a 6 yard sack and being out of field goal range into a 30 yard completion first down inside the 10, ultimately leading to a go-ahead touchdown His ability to make something out of nothing makes the chiefs extremely hard to stop

I think the reason they don't is because they want to make the game shorter so there's less injuries overall. At that point though they could just use a draw system like in the soccer leagues and avoid overtime altogether. The coin flip being that important is dumb.
