We had a tough season and still ended up top of the MLB. We are nothing if not resilient. When all is done however, history will always remember this season to be a collection of Shohei's greatest highlights. No one will remember how much it hurt our team to have our best players injured. Still, hard to argue with this one of a kind rehabbing pitcher DH MVP season not being the center of attention for posterity!

Shohei's WAR as a DH of 9.2 leads the NL. As to MLB, I believe Judge and Witt Jr. had higher WAR in the AL. What's impressive is Shohei's 9.2 WAR as a DH is really high despite penalty for not fielding.

2007 Rockies draft signing Chuck Nuzzi (Charles Blackmon) ended his 17-year active career with the franchise team today. He was a great player who also won the 2017 National League batting title. Shohei Ohtani unfortunately missed out on the Triple Crown, but finished the regular season with an unprecedented 54-59 record, including 59 stolen bases. Now, his dream is to win the WS and championship, and I hope he will try to set a new record in the remaining nine years of his career with 'dual wielding' without serious injury. To the Dodgers and the 30 teams, thank you for your hard work during the regular season. Braves and Mets, please try a little harder! LOL

@@sfurules Yep. And they're being egged on by some sportswriters online because they, like the rest of media, are more interested in clicks and ad sales than actually informing people. @PeekaPeep
@PeekaPeep Ай бұрын
Lol, Roberts is not a manager at all and never has been since Friedman (the REAL team manager, by the way) brought him on board back in 2016. That's why this upcoming postseason is gonna be so telling. If the Dodgers don't get it done this time around, they'll NEVER live this one down and management will finally be exposed as a bunch of number-crunching yahoos who still can't grasp the real nuances of the game itself. Besides, the only one I've seen that's come closest to being the actual "team leader" of this club is Miguel Rojas and man has he backed that claim up with his on-field play this season...
